And thanks for the chance to enjoy this book before others get to the world 283 I really enjoyed this addition to the Mountain Men of Whispering Pines Series This is a second chance love story between Harper and Zach They secretly dated in high school where a miscommunication caused a rift that lasted over 10 years Now Harper is back in town and his little girls new teacher I enjoyed this story and how they find love again also hearing about the lives of their friends who were in the previous books in this series This was a great story and addition to the series It did not disappoint I was given an ARC of this book in exchange for my honest review 283 I love romances that involve kids like this one tall and muscular Zach with his first grader.

Reconnecting with your first loveIt s weird that this is called The Lonely Lumberjack because Zach isn t really a lumberjack one of his buddies calls him that once in the book I also took off one star because it bounces between points of view between characters with no labeling or separation to let you know the switch is happening and sometimes I had to re read to figure out who was thinking talking However I did enjoy this book Harper and Zach secretly dated in high school They told no one Harper s twin brother was and still is Zach s best friend and even he didn t know But as typical teenagers there was a huge misunderstanding on both sides and each held a grudge Flash forward to modern day and Zach s daughter now has Harper has her first grade teacher Last he knew Harper was a nurse This can t be happening How can he steer clear of the girl who broke his heart all those years ago when she is now his daughter s teacher Will Zach and Harper be able to coexist Will old feelings come to the surface I found out at the end of the book that there are previous books in this series I don t know if they are each stand alone or if they connect storylines I know there are characters that are in each because it does say that 283 ARC Review This is the first book of Deanna s that I have read and I will definitely be reading I absolutely adored this book and know that Zach Harper and Grace are definitely going to be characters I won t forget I m a sucker for single parent romances and this one was everything I love and I love how hard Zach tries for his little girl from plaiting her hair to learning which bows go with which outfits if you know you know I m not usually a fan of the second chance trope but this one was written so beautifully and I will definitely be trying from now on I d highly recommend this book to anyone looking for a HEA military background single dad second chance romance with a beautifully written found family. Book The Lonely lumberjacks I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review 283 I love Deanna s gentle romances which are like a window into the lives of people you would like to meet people with strong ties to their family friends and community I always feel sad for couples who have wasted years because of a misunderstanding that could have been so easily cleared up if they had only communicated so it must be providence that brings Harper back to their home town After Zach s initial shock on learning Harper was his daughter s new teacher I was glad they finally got some closure while realizing they still had an undeniable connection Grace was the shining star of this story and it was impossible not to fall in love with this precocious little girl So with a second chance to recapture what they d lost Zach and Harper tentatively reignite their feelings for each other Yet when Harper makes a grave mistake albeit with the best intentions Zach shocked me with the anger and venom of his reaction and I admit that at that moment I was disenchanted and had my doubts about the strength of their relationship. Book The Lonely lumberjack pdf I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review 283 This book was such a wonderful HEA with a Christian background and author although the author does show her faith in small ways it isn t overtly so It is in how she portrays Harper the single homegrown but city lived nurse turned teacher returning home each night instead of staying in the home with the single father Zach He is kind and loving raising his daughter in a loving and caring environment and scorning those who have wronged him or his daughter Gracie This book brought me many sad tears but ultimately happy tears then tears of joy It was a ride of emotions but it is a happily ever after story overall I enjoyed how each character from the main female and male to the secondary characters and even the tertiary characters storylines and backgrounds were fleshed out instead of just being XYZ people This was a refreshing and wonderful way to ensure readers come back to read their favorite characters from the lumberjack millionaire who is reviving his childhood town to the teacher who has a troubled past that needs resolving so she can be the teacher that his daughter needs I do like how she incorporates an argument that I know many teachers have had with parents regarding their children and the interventions needed for them to thrive in school This is a great eye opener for readers who may not know how dyslexia affects children and the interventions that teachers now have available It takes a strong writer to do everything that Deanna Lilly has done in this book I am excited to recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a HEA single dad gentlemanly behaviors military background brotherhood references and overall a good palate cleanser from other books that I enjoy as well I am looking forward to the next book that Deanna Lilly plans to release this year 2024 This book was gifted to me by the author I am leaving this honest and true review of my thoughts and feelingsI received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review 283 Zach and Harper s Story .
