The Unwanted Journey epublishing Highly recommended James Easterly Bad storytelling with cardboard charactersIt s a basic story It goes from a to b using old tropes without many thrills It reads like the author took a role playing game and turned it into a story And he failed doing it The dialogue is awful feels fake and is preposterously unrealistic He never flushes out the characters enough to really care about them or understand them however every single event thought and action is overly dramatic Massive use of a thesaurus that makes it tiresome. The Unwanted journeycare jobs Very bad editing where sentences and hold paragraphs are repeated characters names are messed up fight scenes lose you as a reader because he mislabels opponents It felt like an author wrote it and then gave it to an AI to edit Or possibly it s just AI written Very bad attempt at a first novel The author tried to create a story as if it was great literature it failed and the main characters and the supporting cast storyline felt fake as if they were cardboard and didn t resemble any real life experience The author s clearly never been in any real combat or military because his after action reports with characters that have just met would have no cohesion working together yet seem to have a personal intimate knowledge with each other just felt contrite and forcedToo many plot holes to list too many suspensions in logic too many mistakes in the game dynamics that confuse the reader Very poor readability James Easterly Great book Great book I can t wait to read the next book in the series I would recommend this author to anyone James Easterly
