Glam Rockers Glitter Bombs Murder Birds u0026 Emo Gods My Semester Abroad at the End of the World Snog Team Six There s much to love about this book It s quirky and funny but also weirdly endearing Reading it reminded me of classic young adult books from my childhood The cast though diverse are humanized through their interactions with each other and the narration of their thought processes We see their weaknesses and insecurities somehow making readers root for the cast of otherwise unrelatable characters. Glam rockers glitter bombs murder birds u0026 emo gods� The book is still quite good though I would recommend it especially to teenage readers Paperback Ok I loved the concept of this book and was drawn into the plot right away Who doesn t root for some teenagers trying to save the world However this book just constantly descended into crazy levels of what is happening here Demon bunnies wearing chaps Yes Krampus Slender Man and what seems like every villain from any mythology and culture ever Also yes There were just so so so many demons and villains In one sense it was very interesting to see all of these different actual villains merged together but there was just too much going on There were also a lot of references to sexuality gender identity and race Maybe I am just in the wrong generation to read this book but there were so many side bars about sexual attraction tension transgender bi sexuality bad racial stereotypes etc. Glam rockers glitter bombs murder birds u0026 emo gods� I did like the characters and their friendship with each other I did not read the earlier books but I still understood what was happening in this one although I do want to go back and read the earlier ones to figure the characters out The plot was definitely all action packed Overall I thought this was a truly interesting concept for a book but I wish all of the distractions had been pared way down Paperback Okay starting with book four probably was not a good idea With no previous information about the main characters I tried to focus on the group dynamics and their adventures Some crazy ones in this book and some reference to Marvel s movies too grins with Troy and his gang in trouble from page one.
