Fake dating and surprisingly good spice I can definitely recommend Careless Hope This is book 2 in an interconnecting series but does not have to be read to enjoy Walker and Caroline s story Favorites Bits Walker making every lesson about building Caroline s confidence I loved the role reversal of Caroline wanting to jump right in and Walker gently guiding her into a meaningful experience Sutton She is the best bestie I loved her friendship with Caroline I m hopeful she and her big broody brother get their own HEA stories soon The special date night Walker plans out meticulously for Caroline It was such a sweet moment and I m a sucker for those romantic gestures. I received this as an ARC thanks to Luna Literary Management and Kate McWilliams This was a really beautifully written at times poetic book with all the things that make me adore small town cowboy romance and some added suspense and drama I was so interested in this story right from the start bc the characters were easy to immediately connect to and the way they each narrated was almost melodic I loved the way the MMC observed and described his girl the addition of the girl gang the text banter and flirting and the build up to the spice. Careless hopey grocery That being said THE SPICE This was a fake but not so fake dating and spicy lesson trope and had so much sweet and tender swoony darlin laced stuff happening that the book hangover is going to be fierce I m not proud but I did DM the author a few times because swoon Therapist take both the FMC Caroline and the MMC Walker were adolescent friends and now adults burdened by the legacy of their families both seeking belonging acceptance and security in themselves and the future they hoped to create This story had existential who am I and what do I want themes showcased vulnerability as strength and even included a suspenseful few chapters that touched on loyalty selflessness and safety and realizing the importance of someone when you almost lose them A reformed playboy cowboy who falls hard is always going to keep me reading There were some triggers here related to DV and gun violence . Careless Hope booking Caroline has come back to Whittier Falls to take over the family GP practise from her father who has retired Caroline was the schools shy girl always had her head in books and tended to avoid being seen. Careless hopepunk books Walker is that cowboy playboy works hard plays harder He has the reputation that he cannot be serious carry thru any plans least of all settle down He has plans for the ranch taking it in new directions but will his older brother Gray see that potential Caroline enlists the help of Walker to help her with dating and everything in between because she realises that there is to life than just being a doctor but she feels awkward and inexperienced at navigating a personal life a romantic relationship where Walker seemingly has that in spades So there in lies a perfect storm And for Walker fake dating Caroline surely will prove to Gray that he is capable of a relationship and therefore should also be taken seriously with his proposals for the ranch. Careless hopetown 5 ARC review Oh my cowboy This book was so absolutely lovely that I read it all in a day I couldn t put it down I really enjoyed both of the main characters and loved the depth both of them had individually This story is beautifully written and has the perfect amount of humor romance imagery and friendship Every line feels like it should be hung in a museum Thank you so much to Kate McWilliams and Luna Literary Management for letting me be an ARC reader and getting to experience this beautiful story Careless Hope Whittier Falls 2 This was a cute wholesome and comfy small town romance between a good time cowboy and the shy introverted good girl who s all grown up and returned to her hometown and still trying to find her footing I liked the easy pace of this story the emotional growth that we see in both Walker and Caroline and the strong connection that these two share from page one They might appear polar opposites based off their small town reputations and backgrounds but they both share the need to prove themselves capable of shouldering important responsibilities and struggle with the challenge of keeping a family legacy strong and thriving With those dreams and ambitions comes a lot of doubt and insecurities which both find themselves facing It came naturally for them to bond over their similar life goals That gave them an added foundation to build on but what I loved most is the way Walker teases and cares for Caroline He was so tender with her and there is nothing endearing then a Hero who goes out of his way to reassure protect and care for his heroine Caroline was also such a good character She was smart and went after what she wanted I loved that just as much as she reveled in Walker s attention she gave back just as much support and affection These two are honestly one of the most wholesome easy going couples I ve read about in a while Their relationship just clicked and was full of flirting genuine likableness and of course some combustible chemistry Don t let the cover fool you The spice is there and it s top notch If you like opposites attract tropes with no OW OM drama the friends with benefits trope the spark is definitely there. Careless Hope ebook3000 management for the arc copy I appreciate it so much Careless Hope Whittier Falls 2 ARC Review 4 2 POV Dual I m not much on the fake dating trope but I really enjoyed this book This was a fast paced read with such a cute town characters I ve read my fair share of Cowboy Romance books but something that stood out to me with this book vs the others I felt like I could actually hear their accents while reading I thought that was really cool and I enjoyed the writing style Walker was everything I wanted in a MMC and Caroline gained the confidence she absolutely deserved I really loved this story This gave me all the small town vibes and I ate it up What can I say I m a cowboy lovin small town girl I related to this book but not in the way I expected I m the oldest sibling and I actually related to Gray Us older siblings want what s best for our littles and sometimes we can t give up that steering wheel on life But standing by our siblings and encouraging them to be and do their best is one of the best ways we can help them navigate their own path And seeing that play out in this book really helped put some things into person for me The supporting characters where lovely Honestly Lisa was my favorite and I wish we could ve had of her I also really enjoyed the um ahem lessons The tension between Walker and Caroline was so good.
