I received an Advance Reader copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review 225 At first glance the two main characters of this story may seem very similar Both excel in their professional fields but in their personal lives neither of them is especially lucky. Vincent is the number one man at New York Financial Brokerage one of the top people in the financial world Smart handsome and cold hearted a true billionaire whose life revolves around work Since his divorce a year ago he has had to balance parental responsibilities with a manipulative ex wife Love life is clearly last on his to do list. Vincent is not a team player he prefers to manage the financial jungle alone But when the attractive newbie Maddie gets in his way he is forced to work with her Maddie the firm s newest employee is hopeless when it comes to love always attracting the wrong men. From the moment they meet the two protagonists are drawn to each other s competitive energy The sparks between them burst into a passionate physical relationship As the attraction slowly turns into love they both try to cope with the problems surrounding them and confront their past Maddie s past is full of secrets and shadows while Vincent is burdened by the shadows of his divorce and the pressures of the financial world. Blair Brown does an excellent job of portraying the financial world of New York and its interconnections among the rich The characters are deep and complex and the story is full of exciting twists and turns and emotional rollercoasters The book also highlights the downsides of fame and fortune and the dangers of abusive relationships. Grumpy Single Dad Billionaire is a thrilling and twisty read that takes us to New York and gives us an insight into the lives of the financial elite It is an honest and moving love story that is guaranteed to captivate the reader I recommend it to all romantic souls who love exciting emotional stories and the deep inner journey of the characters. Even though since his divorce a year ago he s been trying to balance his duties as a parent and with his manipulative ex wife The last thing he has time for is a love life. I m the newest upstart hired in at the company and incredibly unlucky in love seemingly always choosing the wrong men When I meet him we are immediately drawn to one another s competitive energy It doesn t take long before that energy explodes into an intense physical relationship But I am holding onto a secret past of my life My former celebrity status haunts me and my abusive ex boyfriend stalks me.
