National singles day book ideas 7 Found Family Flight Attendant Baseball Player Long Distance Relationship Instalust Sports Romance Comedy SnarkyThis book made me giggle like an idiot for most of it Yes it s a bunch of grown men acting like children throwing friendly mostly sexual barbs at each other all in the name of family and love They re athletes so I expect nothing less when it comes to how they speak with each other Now this of course might turn some people off of this book so I thought I would put it out there that most of this is silly in a make you belly laugh way It does feel like you jump into their lives from the get and hit the ground running Jack is a flight attendant and a member of the National Guard with aspirations of becoming a pilot for his current company Delta after finishing a rigorous program from the Guard He s on an international leg for his next flight and he s been told that the top class of the plane has been sold out to one group and he s assigned to them In walk the Mangoes baseball team and all of the shenanigans The Mangoes are akin to the Bananas team if you ve ever heard of them Jack and Steph are pretty much struck dumb upon first sight and it s cute to watch the roles reverse multiple times with who is confident and when They blush they flirt snark all around a little getting to know you and a kiss before they get off the plane Both men were struck with feelings they ve never had before for another person leaving them uncertain but hopeful Yeah Guess I just wanted to hear your voice I nearly melted right there on the sidewalk Seriously people would have to step over the puddle of Jack just to get by It would ve been horrifying Really The whole time Steph is on his cruise with the team he s texting with Jack They re smitten from the beginning and the text conversations are hysterical throughout You never know when they re going to be serious silly or lewd So of course Jack gets himself assigned to the teams return flight Cuteness overload on the way back to Memphis and another kiss Here starts the long distance situation they have going After contacting each other daily for a while Jack invites Steph to come visit him in Atlanta for five whole days They have a great long first date which was really several dates packed into the vacation Their connection was so strong that they couldn t deny how they felt for each other and that they wanted to continue the relationship There are struggles with schedules once the baseball season starts and Jack starting his guard pilot training program Steph is also struggling with himself and his sense of abandonment from his family After losing his brother his family fell apart and left him on his own He has a constant fear that if he lets anyone get to close romantically that they will eventually leave him as well They have to communicate with each other and work around their time off in order to stay together against all the odds This is a feel good story with a HEA ending so you know that they find their way I ll have to check out some of the other books in the series because the teammates and their partners were something else and seem to have great backstories Content Warnings Graphic sexual content between consenting adults Death of a family member off page Grieving Mentions of suicide past off page Neglect emotional by parents I received a free copy of this book via BookSirens and am voluntarily leaving a review.
