It was an extremely good book It was just too long though I enjoyed the story of Iset and Osiris Even though the meddling of the other Gods especially Ra made me crazy I fancy myself as a sort of Ancient Egyptian historian So this book was right up my alley I can t spout enough praise for this body of work I received an advance review copy for free and I am leaving this review voluntarily Queen of Heka The Autobiography of Isis I really enjoyed this I ve always been interested in Ancient Egypt and mythology which is what drew me to this book It follows Iset and her great love for Asar and the trouble and obstacles they face when all they want is to be together There s a lot about Egyptian mythology I don t know so I loved reading about the gods and learning about them The story was well written with descriptions that made it come to life in my mind It held my interest all the way through and I would definitely recommend it. Queen of hekarro I love the writing style the author transports you into Egypt and makes you live and breathe these characters Egypt is also a never ending beauty Its myths and mythology are forever enchanting No complaints The characters left me wanting slightly but that s because I couldn t quite connect to Isis I mean I ended up feeling bad for SOBEK of all gods Isis treats everyone around her who isn t Asar abysmally and unfortunately teaches Heru to do the same It s not really a compelling tale BUT it IS true to the personalities we have recorded of the Egyptian deities For that I have no faults.
