Can he truly let the woman of his dreams go to keep her safe from him or will someone else prove to him just how precious what he has found is I really liked these two main characters the emotions that were between them came across as genuine and they both showed insecurities about themselves Looking forward to some collaborations between these two authors as they truly wrote characters that I believed in and cared about 4. I liked the humor in the story the best Sometimes life isn t all serious and hearts.
He is also strong physically but probably not so much emotionally with his insecurities when it comes to love He really is just a teddy bear This book had Beauty and the Beast kind of vibes and I loved every bit of it. Verity may be a curvy girl but she has a lot of spunk and is incredibly intelligent Gorgon might be from the richest family and have snakes in his hair and in his pants but he is completely smitten by her What ensues is a little bit of hilarity sweetness and sexiness I like that Verity was a little clumsy and out of sorts but is still sexy to Gideon And Gideon although looking like the most handsome man with snake hair to live also has his own insecurities. This book was really really good I enjoyed it a lot and I liked that it was short and not too heart gut wrenching or frustrating It was just good fun Don t say I didn t tell you so. This has a great world building a place I want to visit For sure The main characters are relatable I like both of them a bunch and I wanted them to have a HEA I love love I laughed I cheered Awwed quite a bit Oh And yesss there is a lot of steam and passionate fire here Uh huh Remember black mamba And there are some surprises too Noooo I will not tell you Just read it M kay Highly highly recommend Just Do It Happy reading especially in the monster world But she is very passionate about translating ancient texts but also tutoring monster children in ancient forgotten languages Because of her linguistic skills her monster parents refer her out to others for tutoring So when Gideon reaches out to her to translate an ancient text that no one has previously worked she is interested but also in the owner of the book Even though she ran away from him at their initial meeting something about him calls to her. I love how they are drawn to each other and Gideon doesn t push the envelope with Verity but almost to the point where she isn t sure if he is truly interested in her Part of that shows how vulnerable Gideon is and his insecurities as well But when the two finally hit the sheets wow the spicy is over the top This was a short sweet and steamy monster romance that I really enjoyed The characters are awesome and ones you wanted to get to know of and the storyline was engaging I received an ARC of this book from the author via Booksprout I am voluntarily leaving this review Dad Bod Gorgon Dad Bod Monster 10 I am voluntarily reviewing a reader copy of this book. Verity is a human that loves living the monster world an academic in forgotten ancient languages but she is also a tutor who loves teaching the next generation how to understand the forgotten Attending parties is not high on her agenda but she could not refuse going to the graduation of one of students she should have known that something would go wrong and go wrong it did when she is nearly stung by a bee which would have been deathly only for a Gorgon to nearly turn her to stone Verity very unlike her usual self gives Gideon a piece of her mind things do not end there and Gideon makes his intentions clear Will Verity give Gideon a chance to show her how things could be between them or will her fears push him away Gideon hadn t really wanted to attend the graduation of one of his friends children that is until he catches sight of the beautiful curvy woman who was looking terrified at a bee it soon becomes apparent that she is genuinely in fear of her life so he steps in as a Gorgon he has the power to turn things to stone but that was the last thing that he meant to do to Verity But her sassy reaction has him hooked for of her from that moment on and he will do whatever it takes to get her attention the right way this time but as she is human he needs to go slowly and hatches a plan to the one thing that he knows she will not be able to stay away from forgotten languages and he has the resources to keep her busy for a few lifetimes As they grow closer will Gideon be able to protect Verity from surrounding threats or even himself but humor and realizing sometimes we can all embrace our inner nerds Verity loves her books and language and does her best to fit in the ever changing world of humans and all of those in between She isn t the shyest flower but finds herself most comfy in the quiet. Gideon might be the opposite He s outgoing personable and knows how to make a deal From the moment he turned Verity into stone he realized she was the one He might have found a sweet spot straight to her heart with her love of books and language. I love how these two came together in a slow but steady manner It might be instant but it didn t feel that way You also can t help but laugh at her BFF Alice making pun after pun to Gideon. Give this book the read it deserves and have a good laugh at such a good story Dad Bod Gorgon Dad Bod Monster 10 Dad Bod Gorgon is a fabulous standalone monster romance co written by Violet Rae and Kat Baxter I m really getting into this multiauthor series of Dad Bod monsters and this one happens to be written by two authors that I have really enjoyed individually in the past The premise of this one is pretty simple a hunky gorgon male you know beast of Greek myth think Medusa and a curvy bombshell human woman Gideon and Verity They live in a town that has far monsters than humans and while Verity doesn t mind the differences she is not entirely comfortable in her skin there But she is certainly passionate about linguistics teaching various students and translating all sorts of ancient texts Gideon s and Verity s first meeting doesn t go too well but there is something there that neither can ignore I really enjoyed getting to know both Gideon and Verity Verity is a strong independent extremely intelligent and sassy woman Gideon is also pretty intelligent right Then as she s taking a breathe to scream she turns to stone She looks around and spots the Gorgon instalove OTT age gap opposites attract curvy girl gets her hunky gorgon romance Verity is a sweet and shy curvy human who is a linguistics expert Gideon is a sexy charming hunky gorgon When he sees Verity at a party he is immediately taken with the Curvy human When she ends up in danger of being stung by a bee she s highly allergic Gideon turns her and the bee to stone to save her But Verity is ticked off over being turned to stone and gives him a piece of mind But she can t deny the attraction When Gideon lures her into helping him with translating an ancient manuscript just to spend time with her love blooms between the two This was such a sweet and funny story The characters had great chemistry I loved Alice and her snake puns and Verity was a lucky girl with Gideon s special snake There is a little drama but Verity knocks some sense back into Gideon and we get a very happy ending I need an Alice book I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review Dad Bod Gorgon Dad Bod Monster 10 This is a man after my own heart Rare books and secret knowledge are my love language I love this book It was such a fun quick read I ve read a few of the Dad Bod romances not all and so far this one is my favorite A gorgon is one of the mythical creatures I very rarely see romances about I like how that worked here I also absolutely loved Gideon and Verity Their first meeting is utterly unique and in my opinion un toppable Verity girl I have never felt so connected with a character until that scene I probably would have panicked and ripped my clothes off and hopefully died of embarrassment I loved the chemistry between them After accidentally turning her to stone he has some work to do to get back in her good graces and I was hooked I love the ancient languages and tomes aspect of the story I also like that Verity is a smart woman education wise Most heroines I read about that are capable are quick thinking or good at problem solving or street smart I like that she s good with these languages,
