Alex undercovers n book one of An Unlikely Romance I get to combine my enjoyment of kayaking with my addiction to romance I hope you will love reading the series as much as I love writing it site_link Genre romantic suspenseContent mild language makeouts a nudity scene not descriptive she throws her towel out of fear and a man looks at her curves fade to black scene between a married coupleThis book was so much intense than Larson s Wager It definitely has of a suspense plot From book 1 we knew Alex Bree had a messy history but wow was it fascinating to get the backstory behind it Alex is so loyal and such a protector I love that about him And Bree however misguided she may have seemed truly has a huge heart and is willing to sacrifice for the people she loves She was so resilient as well I really enjoyed both characters as well as some of the side ones too Quotes I Loved I raise a brow at Bree You packing any heat Instead of answering Bree raises her graceful arms above her head and does a slow turn giving me ample opportunity to trail my eyes over her back and down the length of her legs After a long slow moment she arches a brow and asks Find what you re looking for Holding Bree s gaze again I speak into the phone She s packing plenty of heat but no nobody s holding a gun to my head She s held my heart since the first moment I saw her Scratch that Bree doesn t hold my heart She owns it I m loath to admit it but there it is I m hers I ve always been hers I love you I say in a near whisper Of course you do What s not to love Keep talking So demanding I know I received a complimentary copy from the author All opinions are my own No positive review was required English Thank you to Melinda Morgan for a copy of this e book for an honest review A follow on book from Larson s Wager I enjoyed reading Alex Undercover as it followed through with the characters stories. Alex undercovers This book focused on the relationship between Alex and Bree star crossed lovers in some way whose fall in love in circumstances that conspire against them Bree is a strong independent woman whose birth father and adoptive family don t sit on the right side of the law and she s been a pawn in their illegal activities most of her life When she works with the authorities to bring them to justice she decides to leave her relationship with Alex behind in order to protect him Easier said than done While this story is a little unbelievable at times but a lot of fun I loved the chemistry between the characters as well as the ongoing story of their friends It s a great fun light heated story l enjoyed I do love a story where the bad guys get what s coming to them and a happy ending ensues Looking forward to reading the next chapter about this group of friends 1 2 English Alex Undercover is a romantic suspense novel that has some mildly intense parts as well as lighter moments throughout It includes a couple fade to black scenes involving a married couple While it was a tad bit spicier and descriptive than many of the romance books I read it still fell within my comfort zone The chemistry between Alex and Bree is definitely well established The book follows a before and present timeline which allows us to get to know some of Alex and Bree s friends along the way It is definitely enjoyable as a stand alone book but I wish I had read the first book in the series first I want to get to know Alex s close friend group better Early on I thought this was a predictable story that I had figured out but there were some surprises in the end Anytime I review a romantic suspense book I feel the need to remind readers that this is a work of FICTION There are going to be plot holes and things you have to just overlook in order to enjoy it If you want to read a book about a real secret agent read Breaking Cover by Michelle Rigsby Assad It s not nearly as entertaining as this one but it is real English Everyone If you like the protector trope this book NAILED it Alex Belmont is the epitome of a protector and I AHHHH . Book Alex undercover billionaire Y all know by now I loveeee me some man of action books Shootouts secret service stuff AH So good And this book HAD IT ALL I was on the edge of my seat trying to figure out everything The romance was EXPLOSIVE those kissing scenes Melinda kills those kissing scenes I am in my second chance romance era and this book hit the mark CW fade to black human trafficking kidnapping shooting minor swearing the author does an amazing job putting CW at the beginning of her book as well English A great romcom spy adventure This is actually along the lines of what i was hoping the book Argyle was But that is a different book review. Book Alex undercover Alex and Bree s chemistry became increasingly apparent the trouble Bree managed to find herself in I struggled with the first part of the book Partly because instalove is so not my thing and partly because I was a little confused possibly because I didn t read the first book But as soon as we hit the 25% mark the book took off and I had a really hard time putting it down Alex is a bit of Grump cinnamon roll hero all rolled into one and he pulls it off so well Bree is an independent strong fierce woman trying to outrun her past and when these two collide it is magic I thought this was a fun exciting and unique story full of twists and happily ever afters. Book Alex undercover billionaire Thank you so much to Melinda Morgan for the eARC It was a delight getting to immerse myself in your story English I absolutely loved the chemistry between Alex Bree I also enjoyed the higher stakes in this book I found my heart absolutely racing a few different times Getting to see the whole gang from Larson s Wager how they are doing gave me all the feels I m so excited to see where the next two books take everyone I can hardly wait English Loved this one Wow What a thrilling read make sure your schedule is clear because you will not want to put this one down Loved Alex Bree honestly kept me guessing the whole read on how it would work out and let me tell you I have my hopes up for Chris Vanessa English When I say you need to read this book immediately I mean it I devoured this book Let me tell you I don t like reading rom coms They are usually very vanilla and not what I like to dive in and read This book however has forced proximity a single bed to share a morally grey character and some good old fashioned sexual tension that you will eat up This book is swoon worthy and I can t wait to see what is next in the series English Never a dull moment Suspenseful and tender great chemistry and characters you really root for An absorbing world of characters beyond just the main couple Great twists and surprises One to binge read English this was a interesting read that i read quick and it was definitely a lot different than Larsons Wager something that wasn t different though was the flirting there was a good amount of flirting in this book as well as the last. Ebooks Alex undercover billionaire it was also nice for the book to include a backstory of what happened in the last book but it seemed almost repetitive i had to skim through until i got to Alex and Bree s thoughts then i enjoyed their point of view of what happened especially since in Larsons Wager it was mysterious why they hated each other Alex and Bree truly didn t hate each other though which i thought was sweet communication is key in a relationship and even though their relationship wasn t supposed to happen they still should ve talked about it before it ended the way it did but im glad they were able to come back to each other in the end all thoughts and feelings are honestly my own thank you to Melissa Morgan for letting me read and review this book English
