Who is Anna s coworker who she believes is her enemy competition for her journalist career Things I loved The chemistry between Anna and Will was off the charts good The tension was electric from the beginning The newly divorced aspect from someone in their late 30s thats also a Mom and has a career I feel like this is so uncommon for romance novels and I LOVE that this was explored Will Havers is dreamy The end The family dynamic how we got to meet and know Anna s kids and her sister The only thing I was alittle bummed about was the closed door intimate scenes There was a great deal of tension and slow burn built up.

I think if his pov was in this story he d be understood by the reader like i needed about why he liked her to begin with also the moment they first got together was kinda fast and could ve used some lines or build up finally i would ve slapped sylvie for constantly saying the children has two moms and for naming her child after my boyfriend that s just me though can t wait to read by this author because the readability of the story was amazing could see myself upping this rating to a four by the end of this month thank you NetGalley for the ARC Paperback Columnist Anna Appleby has left her love life behind after a painful divorce Who needs love when she has two kids.

Is She Really Going Out with Him? book review In this newest book from Sophie Cousens we follow the story of Anna Abbleby a recent divorcee and mother of two she is struggling to find her way as she navigates her life at home and at work She works for a local publication and agrees to write a series on dating where she goes out with people her kids pick for her This results in some funny and interesting experiences as you would expect First I absolutely loved the setting in Bath England Having visited a number of years ago I felt she really captured the magic of this special city I loved joining the characters to revisit some of my favorite spots including The Roman Baths The Circus Mr B s Bookstore and The Holburne Museum The nods to Jane Austen through the book were wonderful another high point for me. Is she really going out with him the damned Though the dates are awkward with sometimes hilarious results it is satisfying to see Anna put herself out there and learn to open herself up again to new people and new experiences Of course there is a surprise romance with an unexpected person I put those words in quotation marks because it s fairly obvious what is going to happen and with whom Unfortunately her chemistry with her love interest didn t quite hit the mark for me there were too many miscommunications and unclear motivations for me to become too invested in them. Fiction Is She Really Going Out with him? tv show This story starts out introducing you to our fmc Anna She is 38 divorced with two of the cutest kids She has become quite cynical and believes she is completely and totally happy on her own and has no interest in dating That is until her career is about to take a turn for the worst if she doesn t start writing vulnerable and relatable column pieces The magazine company she works for is tanking and they need a new and fresh take to gain a younger audience and that s where the idea of going on dates her children pick for her begins I personally really grew to love Anna At first I thought wow she is just so skeptical of anyone and everything I wanted her to let loose I wanted her to stop believing the worst in people and oh my goodness how that changes for her throughout this book She grows she makes new friends she finds HERSELF It was a wonderful journey of watching her blossom and truly finding who she is because her whole life up to this point was her prioritizing her children and never taking a second for herself And you might be wondering who is Will Havers How does he play into this story LET ME TELL YOU I would say they re work rivals but it s really like Anna has a one sided rivalry against him and all he really wants is just Anna s attention But somehow they end up having a competitive relationship and the rest unfolds from there He is literally the sweetest man He pays attention to when she speaks makes her know her worth when she can t and FREAKING SPENDS TIME WITH HER CHILDREN punches the air I am a big mood reader and I haven t been in a contemporary romance mood for a minute now and I just want to say that I am so glad that this was the book that I decided to read I loved loved loved all the new friends Anna makes along the way her growth and her freaking relationship with Will AND I really hope we will see a certain someone s story from this book written soon because he truly deserves it cough the neighbor cough.
