Conflict of Interest (Alastair Stone Chronicles, #35) By R.L. King
And watching way too much Doctor Who site_link This book had some interesting items The whole Heaven s Gate feel was a bit unnerving I am still on the fence about Stone having a baby with a dragon History has shone that most TV shows that introduce a new addition have their appeal falter Although seeing Murphy Brown in the episode with Dan Quayle was great We get less of Jason because of his kids. Watching her team try to solve the supernatural threats without breaking the law too badly themselves would have many storylines This book had them out of the country handling things.
It s always fun when the Scooby gang get together to take out some maniacal magical malefactor And there are continued hints of something coming on the horizon Something big Something that will change everything I can hardly wait R. L King Alistair and team are great With this book being 35 you d think the story would be stale maybe But let me assure you that is not the case here We ve watched members of the core group change and grow and it just builds into the book s storylines There are still way too many things still to come that I can t wait for the next one This one was a stay up late kinda book And crazy turn of events that might play in again Only our awesome wordsmith knows.
The Lesser of Two Evils Alastair Stone has some rare free time so he agrees to help Jason with a case a missing college student with a wealthy father who s desperate to bring her home safely As often happens when Stone is involved though the girl s disappearance soon proves to be only the tip of a much larger and dangerous iceberg ultimately leading them to a malevolent megachurch with a lot than salvation on its agenda Even worse they soon discover that another organization one Stone is all too familiar with already has the corrupt church in its crosshairs To get to the bottom of the church s infernal machinations Stone and his friends might have no choice but to join forces with them But can mortal enemies Alastair Stone and Portas Justitiae manage to put aside their hatred for each other long enough to take down an evil bigger than either side can handle alone If they can t thousands of innocent people could lose their lives and that s only the beginning Conflict of Interest Alastair Stone Chronicles 35 Excellent35 books in and the story continues to grow in depth detail wonder and style I m very happy to have read them all from the start and will continue to be keen to see what comes next over and over May these stories have immortality and continue on for a very very long time R. L King It was a quick read I could not put it down Looking at the mega churches and Texas was a given It was good to see the whole team engaged with the plot I should wonder if there will be a book coming that will deal primarily with the Dragons in the future much like the treatment of Calanar R. L King King has done it again No spoilers for you dear readers This is book 35 Wow You d think Alistair would be getting stale by now Not so He continues to grow and learn He s not the rash man boy we met all those years ago But he still has mad spontaneous and effective ideas that always seems to work for the best You will not be able to put it down R. When not writing or working she enjoys hanging out with her very understanding spouse and her small herd of cats so infinite locales are available I m looking forward to the next book R. L King I started this review a couple of times only to realize I was spoiling Let s just say maybe This is not a standalone story but take my word for it start with the first one and go from there R. L King R L King continues to make things interesting and challenging for her MC Alastair Stone in book 35 The characters are strong as ever and the plot is fascinating Stone with the help of his friends have another demon to kill and he gets unexpected aid from one of his enemies. There were a couple of places with some questionable explanations of the how and why of things which diverted my attention from the flow of reading but overall it was a good story R. L King Another exciting entry to the Stone Chronicles Another excellent book in the Alastair Stone Chronicles This one starts with Stone saying to his friend that he was getting a little bored Bad idea as the universe always makes things very exciting when he gets bored Starting with helping Jason find a missing college student Stone ends uo dealing with old enemies who aren t the worst threat for a change From there it is the usual fast paced action that keeps you reading to the end I again finished a Stone book in one sitting because I just couldn t put it down R, I hope this isn t going to be another debacle like having Alistair and Verity hook up The thought of that still nauseates me: Something I would like to see explored is a spin off with Ren s people Having a series about the FBI by RL would be cool. L King wow It feels like the best is yet to come So many surprises I m really looking forward to the next book R.L King
