Hunter's Moon paranormal nightmare
this had everything that I was hoping for from a sequel to the Magic and Moonlight series It had a great overall feel to it and worked with the world that was created KT Yarrow has a great writing style and I enjoyed how strong the overall feel of everything worked The characters were what I was hoping for and glad they worked well overall together It left me wanting to read in this world and from the author. Hunter's Moon paranormal nightmare Eben Savage has many things coming at him in this second book of the series He would very much like to be left alone by outsiders as he enjoys time with his boyfriend his pack and the magic he stole But now his troubles are starting to converge on him as payback threatens from a rival pack hunters and mages who all want him dead Can he save the ones he loves Or is his fate finally closing in with no escape I think expanding the characters a bit would help us get to know them and would pull the reader into the story better But the basic story line itself was good Hunter s Moon Magic and Moonlight 2 I read book one maybe a month ago and was so disappointed book two wasn t out yet Thankfully I didn t have to wait long I couldn t put it down once I picked it up It was well written and I loved everyone s character development Hunter s Moon Magic and Moonlight 2 I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review Disclaimer I read the original version that was published on FictionPress which has impacted my review I love KT Yarrow s work and I enjoyed getting to dive into Eben and Drystan s world again Plus it s fun how the Worldbuilding continues with both the enemy pack the hunters and the magic world One thing that hurts the story is that a lot was cut out of the original story which makes certain events feel rushed I would ve enjoyed this a lot if the book was split into two which would allow us to know Gunnar and Camilla better feel that Avery wasn t just a convenient finder spell for Eben and the impacts of being kidnapped could be further explored Additionally when Eben is kidnapped he s told that Drystan is killed but we immediately see that Drystan is okay because of the POV shift To be emotional it would have been better to not show Drystan is okay until Eben himself knows Despite this I m looking forward to book three Hunter s Moon Magic and Moonlight 2 Hunter s Moon is the enchanting second installment of the Magic and Moonlight series The story is as compelling as the first filled with adventure and suspense as we follow Eben and his friends as they face a new rival pack hunters and the consequences from Eben s actions in the first book Yarrow s writing is incredible as always and it s easy to get immersed in the supernatural worlds that she creates. Hunters moon pub birmingham This story s biggest shortcomings all stem from the limitations of the book format I sincerely believe that Eben s story would have greatly benefitted from a longer series format with each arc being broken up into several shorter books As someone familiar with the original stories when they were posted on FictionPress I was disappointed to find that the book cuts out a lot of what felt like essential scenes that served to define characters and show their development throughout the story Without those scenes a lot of the characters feel one dimensional and their actions inconsequential I would have liked time for the characters to breathe in between plot points and depictions of the characters existing beyond constantly fighting the next big bad. Hunter's moonxbt Despite everything though I do genuinely think the book is worth a read Eben is still a lovable character and the wit is unmatched The magic in this world has only gotten better over time and I am continuously waiting for what will happen next It fills me with immeasurable warmth to see the stories I read growing up develop into full blown novels.
