Overall I really enjoyed this book I liked the pace way better than the first and the plot and characters as well if I m being honest There were twists turns betrayals quests fated mates secret identities warrior women and a burn the whole world down literally MMC The book picks up where the first left off with Alora and Kit journeying through the Asontines to get to Orella and complete her trials The banter is everything you want from enemies who are stuck for weeks travelling together I mean she s still pining for Killian and Kit is an overconfident cocky fae male who is a powerful badass warrior maybe a little Feyre Tamlin Rhys situation but I am here for it Also he seems to be pissing her off to the point of her power exploding and now he s gonna teach her to use it so sign me up And when anger no longer pulls her power out you better believe that lust does The book felt LONG but only in the sense that so much happened There was the original journey the trials another journey multiple battles and fight scenes and than a few crazy revelations I wasn t bored at any point and even when it ended on a cliffhanger with just enough hope to carry you into the next book I was ready for I will certainly be waiting for the release of the next book .
