For the Batman who has everything Amidst their adventures as Superman and Wonder Woman Clark and Diana take a thrilling journey into space to get a birthday gift for their dear friend Bruce Wonder Woman 2023 7two sunshiney besties buying birthday gift for their other grumpy bestie only to realize that their friendship is the best gift of them all i know that s right the big three you will always be famous Wonder Woman 2023 7 Fun little filler issue of Wonder Woman and Superman exploring an intergalactic mall in order to find a birthday present for Batman which is very reminiscent of the Alan Moore story For the Man Who Has Everything Despite this not being part of the main Sovereign storyline I do appreciate that King took the time to establish why the Justice League or Superman doesn t help Diana clear the s name Also a neat little moment from Batman at the end of the book Wonder Woman 2023 7 If you re looking for plot this is not the issue for you If you re looking for a fun day at the mall with your friends Superman and Wonder Woman this is the issue for you. Wonder women of science LOVED this issue and quite honestly this may be my favorite issue in King s run so far and it seemed like this one was a blast to write Wonder Woman and Superman go to the biggest shopping mall in the galaxy to find Batman a birthday present and a great time ensues filled with a Hitchhiker s Guide to the Galaxy esque setting and exposition as well as stellar character moments for the whole trinity even with 1 3 of the trinity never speaking in this issue Incredible writing by King as always but what really made me happy was the art by Guillem March and Arif Prianto which had such vibrancy as were introduced to this alien setting and watch our favorite heroes interact with it also watch the reflections in WW s bracelets The lettering by Clayton Cowles which is always a treat is particularly great here and especially in the first few pages to establish this world Now for a few things that I loved about this issue 1 The incredibly stringent and punishing parking rules.
