Beautifully broken chords and lyrics I have been reading this on and off between my other books as this is not normally the style of book I would choose to read But I am branching out with ARC reads and trying something new I want to say that Nicole has a beautiful writing style and that she really knows how to capture your emotions and have them splayed out all over the page This book is raw and unforgiving and I loved it I felt like I was on an emotional rollercoaster the whole time You won t regret picking this one up Beautifully Broken Beautiful Series Book 1 First of all.

Callie didn t have a perfect childhood In fact it was far from it After losing both of her parents at a young age she ended up in the foster system where she met her best friend He became the only constant thing in her life Healing from childhood trauma she vowed to herself she would never get too close to another guy that the only guy she needed in her life was her best friend What happens when she meets a group of men at her new job that she feels drawn to Will she let her walls down or build them up higher than ever Just when Callie thought she d finally moved on family secrets come to light forcing her to face her past once and for all Alexander wasn t looking for another relationship after the betrayal from his last girlfriend He d only been interested in one night stands What happens when he meets a woman he can t get out of his mind Does he try to be friends with her or go against everything he s vowed for the last two years and ask for He knows she s keeping secrets but he doesn t care He just wants her He ll do whatever it takes to make her his even though she s the one person he shouldn t want Follow along as they learn to trust again make new friends and maybe find love and a happily ever after they never thought would happen This book is intended for mature audiences and has the following trigger story contains content that may be troubling to some readers including but not limited depictions and references to sex death suicide childhood trauma vivid nightmare imagery domestic abuse child abuse depression anxiety miscarriage and rape Beautifully Broken Beautiful Series Book 1 WOW OH WOW I wasn t really sure what I was getting into with this one I was a little hesitant went signing up for the ARC I didn t read the description just saw small details I m not a bit disappointed This was a wonderful read Callie and Jace have a special bond like no other Growing up together wasn t easy but they did it and they did it together Years after their fresh start they move to a new town to continue their new lives and live in the normal They make new friends they enjoy spending time together Years after the unimaginable heartache this was such an emotional roller coaster I was literally HOOKED from the very beginning After each chapter I just kept wanting and And I m so glad that the ending was super satisfactory it didn t led me wanting from this book I was honestly amazed by how well written it was The writing style was so raw and so beautifully written The characters were amazing too In a way I found Callie s character to be very relatable I loved Jay and Callie s friendship so much There were so many wholesome movements of them together I really like Callie and Alexander s background stories I m literally speechless Also their scenes together were so good I really enjoyed their spicy scenes together Also loved the plot Beautifully Broken Beautiful Series Book 1 Definitely a hefty book but it s filled to the brim with cute moments spicy scenes and heart wrenching backstories Definitely check your trigger warnings I do believe Nicole did a phenomenal job at writing those warning moments and paid them the justice and respect they deserve. Beautifully broken ashlee simpson lyrics Callie and Jace are just trying to get by and stick it out through their last semester of college To make ends meet Callie works as a waitress and is asked to deal with a rowdy and intimidating group of regulars Enter the Ferrari family Tall dark handsome and pure gentlemen Luca and his boys are the sweetest souls on the planet Each swoon worthy in their own right Falling to the back of the pack however is Alexander He s had a hard time especially as of late and it feels like the world is simply caving in on itself Determined to get his practically adopted son back on his feet Luca snaps Alexander out of his funk and gets him back to the family And homeboy is smitten with Callie from the first time he lays eyes on her Overall Alex and Callie s love story is definitely a slowwww burn but the payoff is stunning I loved how attentive they were to the others feelings but also to their internalized feelings There is no miscommunication in this book which I appreciate thoroughly and it makes me love it even . Beautifully broken cece winans lyrics Also Callie and Jace have the most breathtaking friendship to pile onto the cuteness overload that is Callie and Alex A must read if you love slow burn romance and watching the two lead characters flourish together Beautifully Broken Beautiful Series Book 1 Callie and Alexander shine brightly in Nicole Lee s debut book Beautifully Broken What is so well done within these pages is that you as the reader are immediately in love with Alexander and you fall for Callie so hard Callie is fiercely independent sassy and a warrior of the highest grade She is someone you want in your corner and the author does a really great job of balancing this feeling with Callie s demons that she is trying to keep at bay While Callie comes off as this picture of strength there is a deeper fight behind the smile and sass Nicole allows the reader to have room for their own mental health battles and fight them alongside Callie Callie is a really good example of a FMC that doesn t have it all together one hundred percent of the time and while she may be broken she is not shattered Alexander is green flags all day He is such a good man for Callie and allows her to fight her battles herself but also makes sure she knows that he is in HER corner and that is such a fantastic way to show how we can support our people who have to fight something Alexander isn t afraid of a challenge but he doesn t view gaining Callie s trust as one If you love MMCs who are devoted to their women have dirty mouths because same and don t want to take their shine away Alexander is your man What I loved most about how Nicole wrote him is that he is not without his own darkness as well and to see his balance with Callie s was a satisfying feeling The family surrounding Callie and Alexander is top notch you ll fall hard for Luca and want to smack the ragtag team of guys upside the head before snuggling into them There is heavier content woven through this book and while I don t feel like the author hits the reader over the head with the triggers I would check them so you protect your peace All of the mental health discussions the PTSD the emotions and physicalities are handled with such delicacy and care Fantastic job I cannot wait for the next Beautifully Broken Beautiful Series Book 1

Thank you Nicole Lee for the ARC of this book This book is a must read minus people who have trigger responses regarding some heavy subjects I absolutely couldn t put it down an emotional roller coaster I was invested in all the characters and how they grow so much throughout the book. Beautifully brokenhearted and can we talk about the big twist at the end Beautifully Broken Beautiful Series Book 1 Two broken people meet and work through their healing together Callie Alexander s story is beautiful touching and a testament to what people can live through and thrive in time. Beautifully broken inc The found family element is strong and complex The relationship between Callie and Jace is one that makes sense never tries to be romantic and is just comforting I would definitely love to see Jace get his own story at some point though One of my favorite things about this was Callie s control over her story Who she told when she told and how she healed after surviving Alexander was understanding and kind I so appreciated the detail that Nicole put in her writing to show how complex and layered dealing with trauma and grief can be.
