The Broken Marriage by Elena Wilkes is a complicated thriller about many things In some way this book is all over the place Seriously I can t even summarise it as it s about everything I was struggling to keep up with what was happening And jumping back and forth in time was so confusing that I couldn t get what time we were in I agree that the ending is unexpected but I did have my suspicions. The broken marriage vow korean drama The Broken Marriage kept me on my toes as the characters are unreliable and all seem to have their own agendas One thing I enjoyed was trying to figure this book out I feel that the title did not do this book justice For me this book is about Hannah and the trauma she experienced in her life especially during her college years Yes Rachel and Matt are married and yes there are marital issues but I found this book to be about the relationships that Hannah had with the various characters in this book that she formed during her college years There is a big gap between when they see each other again but Hannah makes her appearance 17 years after she last saw Rachel Speaking of the characters they are an interesting bunch This book had tension and a what the heck is going on vibe to it With the book going back and forth in time some things fell into place while others remained outside my grasp until the end I mentioned the reveal that left me shocked at the ending There were several after a few twists but there was one reveal which floored me I thought wow that was well done I enjoyed the tension in the book and the unsettling feeling that kicked into overdrive during the last half of the book There is suspense which mounts during the last chapters of the book when things begin to fall into place This was my first book by Elena Wilkes and I look forward to reading of this author s books in the future. Broken marriage bible verse And I m sorry but I did not buy Matt as a serial rapist I just didn t All of a sudden he goes from a good and decent guy to an absolute crazy person And why would his partner in crime who is a piece of human garbage not turn him in A guy like that would easily have ratted his partner out so a lot of this didn t make sense to me and even at the end I didn t care for the ending and there s never really any confrontation between Rachel and Hannah At the end of the day I would say the writing is great the level of suspense is great it s just where the plot went which really had me disappointed The Broken Marriage
