Broken Fate By Sabrey Moiraine

Heir of broken fate book 2

But isn t everyone a villain in someone else s story So as she lives her life she is still fulfilling her fate while not doing it in the way you d think Next is the characters I found the characters kind of interesting There are aspects of the characters that are introduced much too late in the story Xenia being claustrophobic and the relationships between characters were hard to track I just wasn t convinced that Felix and Xenia actually liked each other And Karielyn being Felix s ex was a strange addition that felt awkward for them to be working together and kind of made it look like Felix only likes Xenia because she s a villain not anything else The romance was honestly bland I m not convinced they re in love.

And every kiss after that had little description and little reasoning There was no tension or longing in what I read to convince me these characters are in love And a lot of their relationship is glossed over in time jumps I don t think these characters truly know one another They just seem like classmates friends to me personally I was honestly invested anytime it was mentioned they Karielyn and Blake went off alone somewhere than the main characters The book was pretty entertaining and it was an okay read Solid book Solid debut Props to the author for this story and for my friend for recommending English A beautiful story strung together by an amazing author The writing style of Broken Fate is so whimsical The plot itself will keep you entertained and feeling enchanted.

In the kingdom of Chantendell everyone has a fairytale fate Xenia Safire is destined to be a villain Her fate leaves her exiled from the life she knew with no hope of happily ever after But when she s sent off to train for her story a forbidden book falls into her possession In it she discovers an illicit way to evade her fate by trading it with another Felix Liftson is the youngest son from a line of heroes And the only person Xenia knows who shares her disdain for Fate He might be the answer to forsake her destiny but is he worth her trust or is his desire to trade his Fate a warning Together they work to uncover the book s secrets before it s too late and before their alliance turns into something Soon they realize that is at stake than they first imagined and tempting fate will risk everything they know Thrust into a new world where fate begins to feel like an illusion and long kept secrets are revealed Xenia and Felix must journey beyond the pages of their book to find the magic capable of altering their fates Will they be able to switch their fates in time And can they pay the cost when it s each other they must fight Broken FateAs a debut novel it is pretty good The writing style is entertaining enough and isn t cringy a huge relief to me and the story is there and it is an alright book First I think the world building could have been a bit better in the way of explaining how the magic system works and doing it early on in the story I still don t know how magic works in this world Along with the world building there are a lot of different countries that we see on the map that aren t even mentioned or mentioned only once Seeing as this book will probably be a series in assuming those countries will be relevant later but at the moment I found the large map unnecessary I also wished it had been explained how the other countries see the fates and magic Theres a bit that explains it but it s not quite clear how they see them or how fates would even be relevant in the other countries. Broken fate line In the story each person is given a fate that they must live out in an alternate universe which is then written into a story Having fate as a plot point is a very interesting idea because it is difficult to have fate without plot holes There are many pieces of media that use fate and fairytales and they always have plot holes Because fate is a concrete concept the point is that you cannot escape it when the idea is to defy fate it completely ruins the whole idea If you can defy fate then it was never fate in the first place I think I would have enjoyed if fate was put in a way where it was spun to a different understanding she s the villain I m convinced they re friends and anytime they had a romantic interaction it was so glossed over I wouldn t even realized it happened until it was over The first kiss was quick and uncomfortable BUT when you add all the characters that s when the story becomes even enjoyable The relationship between the characters had my heart fluttering All the characters have beautiful and relatable personalities making you very attached This story will leave you speechless and longing for English 4. Broken faith quotes 5 5 Stars LOVE IT Due to a reading slump it took me a ridiculously long time to finish reading Broken Fate but don t be mistaken I love this book The fairy tale fates and school setting remind me of books I loved as a child but in the YA genre I ve grown to adore I had the pleasure of beta reading this book a few years ago so it was fun to see all the changes Sabrey made to strengthen the story It s such a fun book and THAT ENDING has me eagerly awaiting the sequel Writing this review has me feeling like I should be saying specific things I loved about it and diving into the coolness of the characters and doomed romance fate switching antics but I can t really think of the words so you know what I ll just let you discover it on your own That s my subtle way of saying you should buy this book ASAP English
