I loved this book Had a really hard time putting it down. A sonata for the rakecart The characters were well written from the FMC and her sister the wealthy lord has hired the rakish Anthony as a saboteur Any lady that succumbs to Anthony s advances will be ruled out as a potential wife. Book a sonata for the rakers I received an ARC for free and I am leaving this review voluntarily Kindle Edition A Sonata for the Rake by SariahDrake is an intense and emotional novel with a game of love to win over the heart I would like to express my thanks to Sariah Drake BookSirens for providing me this ARC in exchange for an honest review I think this story really described the difficulty of the times to secure a good husband and the audacity men used to look at women as a thing to be had than the person to be a partner to One of the things that stuck out to me the most about this book was the emotions The author wrote the emotions in such an intense way the hatred the sorrow and intense need There were moments in time where I felt that because the main female character had kept her emotions inside for so long it felt right how she bubbled over and she exploded like a volcano I think the author did a great job at showing the growth of both MMC and MFC both realizing the wrong of their ways or just growing up as a character. A sonata for the raked guitar I felt that this story was original and had me turning the pages in suspense to see see how the characters would react or how the story would shift The secrets and the sorrows of the heart that were hidden behind years and years of trying to bury inside were painfully ripped out I think the author did a great job with describing trauma and how the wounds of the heart can fester and come in the way of relationships and trust I also loved the lengths the main character went to reform and prove himself to be deemed worthy. A sonata for the rakefish With a full house of siblings Augusta grew up to keep to herself and stay in the shadows While she was vulnerable and kept her true potential hidden she did her best to offer care and support to her siblings When she meets Anthony he challenges her to push herself out her comfort zone Unlike her as a rake Anthony is used to being charming and the focus of others Yet as he acts according to his reputation he starts to become tired of the role especially as he gets to know Augusta. Pdf a sonata for the rakers Because they were opposites Augusta held a dislike towards Anthony and it was fun to read how he tried to win her over He was used to women fawning over him so Augusta s attitude had him stumped Though Augusta kept to herself she had a strong mind and knew when to speak her thoughts I liked how her honesty made Anthony want to really get to know her and be better That and their love of music allowed them to bond Their romance was a clean one consisting of sweet kisses and no cursing was used The story had some angst and a good amount of drama that kept things interesting I enjoyed this addition to the series and I can t wait to read the next book Kindle Edition
