His love of pickles is adorable Mavis s tragic past feeds into her clumsiness and anxiousness around people Her Aunt Sarah is her only family and it is wonderful to watch how the Appalachian STAR family takes them both in with no hesitation Mavis feels an affinity to Reboot from the start and her gifts to him including her uncle s old boat and trailer and several pickled items are an expression of her kindness and trust in him as a friend and partner. Book a furious man book review Thank you to Ms Hall for giving me the opportunity to read this book with no expectation of a positive review A Furious Man Special Forces Operation Alpha Appalachian STAR 5 This is the fifth book in the series I haven t read them all but I wasn t confused at all They can be read as standalone books This book is about Reboot and Mavis Reboot was wrongly accused and nine long years later he was exonerated Mavis grew up in a cult Awful things were done to her and it didn t stop when her mother moved with her and her sister It still affects Mavis today It is why she can t seem to keep a job Reboot sees Mavis several times and each time she is about to be fired from a job When a quiet job opens up at the farm.

A furious man epub pdf I loved Reboot s compassion and patience toward Mavis from the first time he met her He s a gentleman and an all around nice guy who wants to make her comfortable as a new Appalachian STAR search and rescue family member The way he vows to protect Mavis is heartwarming considering she has had no one in her past willing to do just that By the way he knows she would be perfect for it The ladies at the farm know Mavis and some of her story They agree that she would be perfect for the job Mavis can t believe this handsome man wants to help her What could he see in her or want from her Once he finds out what happened to her he won t want anything to do with her She had resigned herself to a life with a partner or children Now she could have that chance But to bring them together in this healing place The whole Iron Oak Farms community is wonderful and they help the area with search and rescue missions Whenever I read one of these books I want to move there and help out In this book Reboot meets Mavis who was severely abused as a child and young teenager by her parents and other members of a phony Christian church It is wonderful to see the careful way that Reboot treats Mavis helping calm her anxieties and providing her with a feeling of safety However when she realizes that other girls might be in danger she cannot help but attempt to help them even if it puts herself in danger I loved the way that this was handled. Furious and then some The characters in this book are all fully three dimensional distinctive people and the interactions are great Even though serious things are happening throughout most of the book there is still plenty of humor here and here that really added to my enjoyment of the story.
