I can highly recommend this series Kindle Edition Angel is the VP of the MC His past will have you in tears literally His past made him the man he is today and feels like he cannot emotionally get close to anyone That is until Melanie the DA comes into his life She believes the club is into trafficking and goes to confront Angel A few games are played between the two inside and outside of the bedroom to get the facts of what is actually going on and who is on which side. Angelthump Melanie is only doing this so she can get into the FBI so she can find her twin sister Maddie who was kidnapped when she was 12 She will not let anything ruin that for her Will Angel be her downfall This story will take you out of your comfort zone The darker tendencies that people who are emotionally and psychologically broken are not to be taken lightly If you have triggers such as pedophilia and human trafficking.

I tend to be the type of reader that sometimes uses a book s cover along with the description of the story to decide whether to read it or not Well the cover is not an accurate description of Angel except for the streak of white hair This story was a surprising one that starts when DA Melanie Flemming meets Angel as he tries to set up a meeting to transfer Wilde s ruthless criminal father into custody the heart knows the heart knows and no matter how much they try and resist each other these two can t resist their attraction A surprising ending but one that did justice to this series and another reason I added author Anja Barrons to a favorites list to follow. Angela davis I love Angel and ever since the first volume I ve wanted to learn about him and wow I wasn t expecting such a past Lots of trauma abuseDespite this I found the story too long you have to wait until you re close to the end before the story really takes a turn and things finally move forward The story is good but we lose the tension of the plot because of the length before we finally get to the action Kindle Edition Angel is beautifully written Dark demanding and oh so real this third book in The Ridge MC series is absolutely stunning Filled with complexities plot twists fascinating characters and so much Anja Barrons has delivered in a big way She has built a fascinating and realistic world unapologetically covering many disturbing and triggering topics that are very prevalent in society Her characters are beautifully broken and you can t help but love each and every one of them I loved watching the development of Angel and Lanie s characters in the previous books in this series so to meet them first hand and experience their stories here simply breathtaking This is a masterful story that continues the overarching plot of the series and I can t wait for the next book I d give this one 10 stars if I could it was just that great I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review Kindle Edition I have been waiting for Angel s story since I first saw him in Wilde s book and the author didn t disappoint This is Angel and his Defense Attorney s DA Melanie s story Oh there is baggage and there is BAGGAGE There is retribution and freedom There is change I had all the feels watching Angel and Melanie go through all they did I had to keep reminding myself that there was a HEA at the end I thought what happened to Wilde and Celt had prepared me for Angel but the author said but wait there is While this was a heavy book for me to read I can t wait for the next Ridge MC book. Trailer angels and demons I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review Kindle Edition Oh my gosh Angel had me in tears for a bit His past is horrible and if it wasn t for Wilde there s no telling where he would be This is book 3 and is Angel and Melanie s story and is intense dark and utterly heartbreaking Their journey is particularly interesting because of their differences but also the similarities in their quests Angel is a trafficking survivor and Melanie s sister was abducted and trafficked Angel is an outlaw biker and Melanie is in law enforcement with intentions of joining the FBI Their worlds collide in a huge way and the chemistry between them is not easily ignored Trigger warnings need to be read before this one too if you have issues with triggers I m loving this author and her work I can t wait for book 4 Kindle Edition Angel had a bad youth Years later he is an enforcer for The Ridge MC He also has an envelope with Melanie Flemming this was a tough one I had to DMF the last book in the series and I came really close while reading ANGEL The only way I managed to read it was by skipping around This is probably my last book in the series because I don t know if I can read another one MMC FMC Angel and MelaniePOV 1st person dual Heat YMMV Involves BDSM including blood play And the BDSM desire doesn t come from a sane positive place I couldn t be anything but neutral about the heat level because I think that the BDSM dances pretty close to the line of Sane in the BDSM ideal of Safe Sane and Consensual Also too much s violence throughout for me to be able to get into the zexytime zone. Trailer angels and demons I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review Kindle Edition This novel is a tough read but I m so glad I stuck with it Barrons likes to push the reader out of their comfort zone shred life as we know it and then still manages to stitch all the broken pieces back together for a beautiful satisfying ending I appreciated every moment this author spent trying to better understand the darker tendencies of those who ve been emotionally and psychologically broken for so long their coping mechanisms turn from the weird to downright absurd This novel explores a lot of darkness especially brought on with human trafficking pedophilia and emotional trauma I appreciate how Angel honours the experiences of the children who disappear into the black hole of the world of trafficking who often than not are forgotten by all except their mourning parents who almost never get closure. Angela davis Although I enjoyed the book there were a few small things that didn t quite fit and stretched my ability to suspend disbelief a little too far One such scenario was the kidnapping of Melanie s twin sister Maddie I understand the literary purpose of the kidnapping but can t believe it would have gone down quite that way A disappearance after school or coming home from a friend s house would have been far believable than a midnight abduction from the family home Nevertheless Melanie and Angel make for a very interesting couple The greater story about the biker gang facing off the Mafia was a lot of fun to read and definitely added a lot to the bigger picture from what I d read in the previous books in this series. Angelzz brookhaven For anyone who likes dark contemporary romances that explore the human psyche and our capacity to overcome the darkness our hardships offer us be warned I cannot wait to read Cook s story next I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review Kindle Edition It will never cease to amaze me what a person can survive at the hands of people to whom morals are a foreign concept But when this darkness affects children just the thought is harrowing than I can express Angel is a survivor Thankfully we are spared much of his trauma just a peek is enough but he will carry his scars forever Melanie Lanie has experienced a different kind of darkness one that has driven her to be the woman she is today but when she meets Angel it s almost as if like calls to like Their chemistry is explosive although it s difficult to imagine a relationship between an outlaw biker and DA soon to be FBI agent But that just added an extra layer of angst as both struggled to find a way to be together For the first time in his life Angel finds pleasure without pain Lanie is the first woman that has been able to handle his darkness and his special needs but Angel knows the reasons driving her to join the FBI and won t stand in her way This is a dark and gritty novel perhaps too real for some It certainly bares the worst aspects of humanity for all of us to see However the saddest part for me was that not all stories end as satisfactorily as this.
