Dark sullen and angry Rory MacLeod is hell bent on acquiring all of Glen Bronach including the ancestral lands of his enemy the MacBeith clan He never in his wildest dreams expected to fall for the mystical Saerla MacBeith whose light completes and fulfills him like nothing he has ever experienced before. The passion and intensity of this slow burn enemies to lovers romance is one of the best I have EVER read I found myself wiping tears from my eyes during many gripping scenes for the emotion was viscerally powerful and deeply moving. Overall This book was so angsty that it was equal parts misery and heatI feel like this book was the culmination of a slower build and that starting on book three doesn t really do it justice However if you re into wild witchy badass historical women paired with men who need their heads adjusted you ll probably really enjoy this especially if you start at the beginning.
