I Replaced His Husband (Eden's omegaverse, #2) By Eden West

9 The book is atypical It starts with a lot of sex but the emotional aspects develop very gradually and the overall pacing of the plot is slow in the first half of the book it speeds up toward the end. I Replaced His husbandable However Kay still deeply loves his deceased husband Maurice this is strongly emphasized in the book Rain the guy who comes to help is treated poorly Kay doesn t want to talk to him and even imposes a talking ban to silence Rain He is not allowed to kiss Kay s lips Kay does not cooperate during sex and he does not want to spend time with Rain Rain is almost like an unwanted intruder despite literally saving the pregnancy. I Replaced His husbandjigsaw Kay gradually changes his attitude initially because he sees that Rain is useful as a protector against other alphas who want him too He also feels guilty for treating Rain badly and slowly warms up to him. I Replaced His husbandgetting me What I appreciated about the book is that Kay learns to value Rain for unexpected reasons For example he admires Rain for not being perfect Kay realizes that Maurice his late husband kept him in a golden cage and Rain who is not a flawless hero is a real vulnerable person Even though Rain isn t the perfect fighting machine that Maurice was he still tries and that makes Kay appreciate his character steadfastness and bravery I liked this aspect Rain s character felt grounded and real not just a shining knight. I Replaced His husbandd with his I was also glad that the True Mate aspect was developed a bit differently than in Broken where it was the main focus here Rain and Kay are not sure if they are True Mates and it was a good change. I Replaced His husbandkjv In previous books by this author I criticized Eden for focusing too narrowly on just one couple with almost no other characters around Here I applaud the author for including Kay s family his brothers and Rain s family his parents and brothers which made the book feel expansive and layered I really liked the character Storm and would love to read a book about him That would be fun The book has a big plot twist at the end that I didn t see coming I had my suspicions but they were directed elsewhere so I was genuinely surprised It was an interesting twist for sure. I Replaced His husbanded What I didn t like Overall the book is good Eden improved on what always bothered me before like including characters around the MCs but I do have to deduct a point for the book s pacing It was rather slow in the first part it improves in the second half and some dialogues felt repetitive making the book feel a bit longer than necessary It wasn t a huge issue but Eden could have cut about a quarter of the book without losing much of the essence I read an early ARC and this is my honest opinion English Cheating NoOM drama No although there are a lot of mentions about the late husband Breakup No but there is a true mate rejection vibe POV 1st person dual POVGenre Omegaverse romance M MStrict roles or versatile Strict rolesMC age 23 and 26An interesting journey that starts with emotionless sex and ends with a beautiful happy ending The story has a very calm pace but managed to hold my attention thanks to the narrative style I really liked with smooth transitions from one event to the next. I Replaced His husbandgay It s about a young widower Kay who reluctantly accepts a special kind of help from an alpha healing sex a former roommate of his brother Initially their relationship is cold with Kay being especially unpleasant which doesn t make him very likable However I warmed up to him over time And I loved Rain Such a sweet alpha The change in their relationship over time was very satisfying and mature with good communication I was glad to see everything start to fall into place Much of it came from their conscious decision and willingness to be together rather than from crazy romantic impulses so I d call this a slow motion romance the kind of love story for people who ve been in love before and are slowly opening up to a second chance It felt surprisingly fresh. I Replaced His husbandie I really liked this omegaverse setting especially how Eden built their version of this world emphasizing the animalistic aspects of alphas and omegas and how betas exist outside the alpha omega mating games It s an interesting perspective and approach to True Mates showing a bond so strong that it can rejuvenate people and breaking it can lead to the partners deaths It s a fascinating and intense setup making it really intriguing to watch how the characters navigate the challenges. I Replaced His husbandism with his It s a very good well crafted story that totally surprised me at the end Eden really nailed that twist my jaw dropped English Now that was interesting The book starts completely differently from the previous ones You could say the structure is upside down The book begins with nearly 40 pages of sex The characters don t know each other barely speak and the story revolves around the main character s struggle to save his pregnancy In this omegaverse it s the alpha s energy that fuels a healthy pregnancy and without it there could be a miscarriage. I Replaced His husbandga Kay is a widower devastated by the death of his husband but determined to fight to save his endangered pregnancy So he invites alpha Rain the son of a couple we know from the previous book Broken into his bedThe atmosphere is very unpleasant at first almost hostile Kay doesn t treat Rain very kindly However Rain doesn t give up partly because of the typical fated mates attraction but also he is surprised seeing Kay s otherworldly beauty which sadly attracts not only Rain. I Replaced His husbandga There are a FEW rape attempts in the book nothing graphic unsuccessful CURSED BEAUTY TROPEKay is later called a cursed beauty by people in town someone who attracts trouble with many alphas wanting to have him His beauty combined with his enticing scent signaling a widowed omega drives alphas wild Rain has to defend Kay in several impressive fights. I Replaced His husbanding services I was pleased that the author didn t give Rain the magical power that was noticeable in the previous book where Aiden would enter fighting mode and easily defeat everyone Here for various reasons Rain can t always handle things so easily adding a thrill to the scenes. I Replaced His husbanding me NO INSTA LOVEMeanwhile the relationship between Kay and Rain gradually improves But there s no magical insta love here it s a slow burn romance Kay constantly reminisces about his late husband whom he sees as a hero someone who provided perfect protection and was always there for him Rain feels inferior flawed not good enough. I Replaced His husbandchild with his OTHER CHARACTERSAmid the developing relationship between the two main characters we encounter other storylines that I believe will be expanded in future parts We meet Rain s brother Storm who is the only purple alpha in their family able to transform into a true beast physical transformation with a personality somewhat reflecting his wild nature I admit this character intrigued me a lot and seems even interesting than Rain so I look forward to reading the next part featuring him. I Replaced His husbandable We also meet other members of Rain s family some of them I really want to read about and Lake and Aiden make cameos It s nice to see that their relationship is still going strong. I Replaced His husbandgia But the book can be read without reading Broken so if somebody does not want to read part one it s perfectly okay PLOT TWISTBut the most surprising part was the last third of the book Until then it was a slow romance without crazy emotions The characters were mainly figuring each other out and looking for answers to some strange behaviors that pointed to them being True Mates But overall the action progressed very calmly Then the last 30% of the book happened and what is revealed completely turned my perception of the situation upside down I can t say what it is because it s a HUGE spoiler that would ruin the book if known beforehand but really Eden shocked me with this twist I couldn t believe it because I didn t see it coming. I Replaced His husbandch with his All I can say is in this book not everything is as it seems The ending is why I rate this book 5 stars Overall it stands out as very unusual both in structure and with that intriguing twist at the end The book is quite long probably the longest of Eden s books It was a really interesting and very unusual journey Anyone who DNF s because of the slow start will miss out on a very interesting ending This is my opinion from an ARC I read a VERY early ARC so the book might still undergo some changes English Wow wow wow so beautiful so intense so delicate so deep so twisted and angsty. I Replaced His husbandbee I really loved the first book Aiden and Lake story but Kay and Rain story was incredible and it also really kicked off what looks like a really amazing saga and if you read these first 2 books omg you ll really want to know all about this family. I Replaced His husbanding me Their hea was really hard earned their path full of obstacles evil people uncertainty but also passion care devotion Every chapter of their journey was so interesting meaningful and well developed. I Replaced His husbandable 75 Stars This is a well done slow paced romance with a true mate rejection reluctance element and an unexpected twist at the end I was impressed by how detailed this book was and how meticulously the author controlled the plotline paying attention to every small detail Sometimes even a single seemingly unimportant sentence was explained later on For example there are only two mentions of Adam s ex boyfriend but we see him at the end of the book with Adam Such attention to detail is something I really appreciate as it shows how thoughtfully the author approached the book s structure. I Replaced His husbandch with his I actually enjoyed the book s slow and calm tempo which allowed the characters closeness to evolve gradually in a very organic and palpable way I dislike shortcuts from lust to love and the author avoided that pitfall A BIG PLUS nobody is easily dickmatized here D What was refreshing was that the widowed MC Kay despite being in a True Mate relationship didn t forget about his husband just like that or fall for the new love interest instantly I can easily imagine how quickly it could have turned into an instalove scenario due to True Mate attraction but the author chose a nuanced path The love here develops slowly and it felt just right It made me respect Kay and Rain even and their growth was very tangible. I Replaced His husbandable It was a long read and I tackled it in parts There were some lengthy dialogues and musings but I don t see that as a flaw since everything was well thought out and made sense. I Replaced His husbandjigsaw Without a doubt it s a very good book I read an early ARC and I heard the author shortened some dialogues after my read so other readers might perceive it differently maybe it will be succinct 4. I Replaced His husbandga 8 At first I thought I might DNF it because I struggled with the sheer amount of sex scenes that started after the widowed omega Kay takes on a new lover who is supposed to save his pregnancy However the book gradually grew on me It s really solidly done and thoroughly crafted I appreciated how this book breaks so many stereotypes the relationship is not a magical insta love they work on their closeness slowly despite being True Mates It s all so neatly constructed that I m impressed with how the author has grown since their first book. I Replaced His husbander My only qualm is with the middle part which is why I deducted one point from my rating The beginning features a lot of sex followed by a significant slowdown and the development of many plot side threads left me a bit weary However the ending was really impressive It gave me goosebumps It was a good reading experience English excellent I absolutely love the authors work The way they explain their universe and don t expect you to know the nuances is so good I love unique omegaverse stories and this is so so good Can t wait for and what a twist at the end no spoilers Highly recommended English An angsty but actually really sweet alpha omega romance novel with hurt comfort elements. I Replaced His husbandie Kay s husband died leaving Kay pregnant and in need of an alpha to help him through it all Kay s brothers set him up with their old friend Rain Rain is a nice protective alpha who does offer to help What Rain wasn t expecting was for Kay to be so standoffish Kay is going through it guys He lost his mate he s pregnant his feelings are all over the place and that s to be expected in his situation Kay doesn t want Rain at all nothing but sex to help him through the heats of pregnancy Rain though has emotions he s ya know humanish too so Our men seem to come to an understanding of sorts but throw in bad people alphas mostly Kay s beauty and heats and Rain protectiveness and we get an organic blossoming love between the two that goes much further than just breaking heats Maybe also kind of a bit of rejection But Not for long They find trust and help each other Rain is so good I love him An alpha male cinnamon roll Then there is Kay So grumpy but I understand him He s secretly so sweet I love a good hurt comfort novel and with a baby at the ending yup Love it English I Replaced His Husband is one kf the most original versions of the Omegaverse that I have read and honestly I love the interpretation of the Mate system At the beginning of the book Eden West acknowledges that English is not their first language and I honestly never would ve known that The way things are written are relatively clear and I was absorbed in the book right away I loved the instant lust to slow burn trope used here and I enjoyed watching Kay and Rain s relationship grow Well there were a couple of choices that both came and made that I didn t quite agree with It was still good to see some healthy communication Rain s approach to dealing with his feelings and emotions while being sensitive to Kay s situation was a breath of fresh air against other Alphas that would force them upon their Omegas Over all truly enjoyed this book English It was rather slow but I enjoyed it somehow even with the slow pace I liked how the relationship was built very gradually nothing was earned easily It was truly a slow burn in love realistically showing the time needed to mourn after losing a loved one And the twist was rather unexpected D English Born in Poland to a Polish Ukrainian family specializes in hurt to comfort gay romances and erotica Eden loves art hiking and reading Despite not being a native English speaker Eden loves to use this language to tell romantic and steamy stories. I Replaced His husbandable What sets Eden s books apart They are filled with eccentric intense characters obsession and possessiveness along with plenty of awkward confessions Expect peculiar dialogues relationships with unusual dynamics and always positive endings Eden does not shy away from exploring the fringes of what is acceptable in regard to unusual body types not necessarily neurotypical personalities and even slight body fetishization. I Replaced His husbandable All Eden s books are intended to be relaxing in the end so they maintain a 99% neutrality on matters of politics religion and divisive social issues Eden focuses on the personality and uniqueness of the portrayed characters delving into their souls and exploring their distinctive paths beyond stereotypes. I Replaced His husbandcare Stay tuned as Eden has seven books written and waiting in line to be published spanning genres such as gay romance omegaverse and trans women romances Eden s partner assists with ideas and editing so you may refer to them as a duo hiding under the shared pen name: I Replaced His husbandjay The main character Kay is newly widowed and the other MC Rain comes to his house to help with his at risk pregnancy Alphas energy can help stabilize the pregnancy. I Replaced His husbandga I love Eden s style which dives deep into the characters emotions and develops them slowly without sudden miraculous changes or unjustified breakthroughs. I Replaced His husbander I was extremely captivated from the first page and as the story went on alternating engaging plot and deep character and relationship development I couldn t stop reading, I Replaced His husbandable I absolutely love the names of all characters in this series I absolutely love Eden s writing and every new book is a cozy pleasure to me: I Replaced His husbanding meaning The book has even Glossary and the book also includes a family tree of the Nolans, I Replaced His husbandch Duel first person point of view Rain the alpha Kay the omega: I Replaced His husbandgae HEA 4 5 Hot an steamy Kind of omega heat but the omega Kay is pregnant Mpreg, I Replaced His husbandjigsaw We have nesting knotting biting loving and a lot of angst between our two main leading men in the beginning.
