Caleb As the mystery unfolded into what happened to the character Shannon the book speeds off into overdrive as things start happening Another great book by this author and I own a few of her books that I need to step into soon Giving this book five Spooky Supernatural Creature stars By the Dimming Light I loved this book There s so many aspects of it that I felt and enjoyed Dealing with trauma from losing loved ones Finding yourself in the rut of trying to live from bottle after bottle Fractured families Finding a reason to live again and sober up Believing in the unbelievable and finally realizing that the real monsters aren t necessarily the ones not of this world.

Multi award winning cross genre author Focusing on fiction currently Juliet Rose is driven to bring to life characters from many walks of life and the struggles faced in modern society Her writing style is open and fluid giving the characters the ability to shine as the truth of their own story Her works are honest and sometimes brutally painful but in the end her characters are given the voice which needs to be heard. The dimming of the day Juliet is a New York native living in the mountains of Georgia She has lived all over the United States and Mexico and doesn t plan to stop seeing the world beyond her front doorstep She spends her time rescuing animals painting and writing Novels 
A very different book mixing suspense mystery supernatural and horror elements I really liked how Caleb grew throughout the story Very relatable By the Dimming Light Creepy Mystery Small backstory Caleb Lache has been going through depression after his girlfriend Shannon was murdered and now he is starting to see things in the woods He thinks he sees what could possibly be something that resembles bigfoot but not sure if his eyes are playing tricks on him or not however he knows that Shannon was found in the woods and whatever is out there could be responsible In the meantime Caleb is thrust into some life choices where he needs to become responsible to the point of having to take care of a young boy that is handed into his care Between the mystery of his murdered girlfriend a supernatural creature that might or might not exist and the possibility of seeing the ghost of his dead girlfriend Caleb is going to need to find the strength within himself to conquer all that is being handed to him on life s plate Is there something wandering in the woods What really happened to his girlfriend Shannon Was she murdered by whatever is in the woods Is Caleb seeing her ghost No spoilers here as if you want to know then go read this book Thoughts This book jumps right into a spooky mystery and the creepy atmosphere starts to slowly unfold with the characters involved in the book I love the shivers that were racing up and down my arms as the story started to take off into the unknown terror of the supernatural The story slowly picks up speed and then goes into a fast pace of wondering mystery as the story becomes involved with the spookiness surrounding the character but humans that try to mask what they really are Several mysteries all at once in this book I kind of figured stuff out early but I still had to read to the end and enjoyed every bit of this book By the Dimming Light This is the third Juliet Rose book I have read and by far my favorite Spooky heartfelt and not what I was expecting By the Dimming Light READERS FAVORITE Website review Reviewed by Gaius Konstantine for Readers FavoriteWe all deserve to go home Yet sometimes the voyage is difficult or downright impossible Juliet Rose s novel By The Dimming Light explores the dangerous journey of life through Caleb a young man living in an idyllic small town with a future full of promise His world shatters in the blink of an eye when his beloved Shannon is murdered and the crime remains unsolved slowly fading from memory However Caleb can t forget and starts to drown his feelings in the abyss of a bottle As his life disintegrates and spirals out of control Caleb realizes something sinister and inexplicable is watching from the woods To make matters worse an old high school nemesis moves in next door with his hidden demons Determined to confront a monster Caleb sets out on an adventure that offers salvation in the least likely manner discovering that some monsters can smile politely to your face. By the dimming lightusa By The Dimming Light defies easy classification and expertly blends science fiction horror and mystery into a single thrilling tale However the underlying theme is much simpler and relatable love in all its forms The story is so heartwarming that it even made me choke up a few times which doesn t happen often but the author evokes emotion like a sorceress casting a spell The characters are well written and believable they feel like real people and I would love to have them as friends or family The setting is also equally beautifully described and feels like paradise on Earth The pace and tone of the novel are no nonsense and gritty at times but also overwhelmingly cathartic evoking a range of emotions Juliet Rose crosses multiple genres to deliver an exceptional tale and deftly reminds us that sometimes through tragedy we find what we ve been waiting for Just a great novel By the Dimming Light
