I loved itMr Mathison hit one out of the park I guess a few short stories are good I am the guy who read Shogun 4 times So my is long story but Mr Mathison puts a story together so well If anything was lacking might have had a little understanding of the wife s idea on the same issue it also had the reader guessing like the husbands Clutch Club Rating 4. Clutch clubcorp 0 stars I like this author s writing but I have a hard time describing it These are definitely stories for men Most of his books have the women doing something stupid thoughtless or sometimes completely batshit crazy and the men have to deal with it In these stories the men are always completely logical about what is happening and the women tend to be delusional in their thinking It is one those situations where you know what is being written isn t real It couldn t really happen like that right Right Then you read and hear stories about cheating wives and you have to wonder what was really going on in their minds What would happen if these women said out loud the unspoken thoughts in their heads If they had to explain their actions out loud would they still be able to deny what they are doing is wrong This story is kind of short and deals with 5 married couples who have been friends for 9 years The women all work together and then men have become friends because of it The Clutch is sort of a group think in the female group They each talk on topics and the same time and they all participate in multiple discussions No topic is off limits Sometimes insane things are brought up This story involves one of those topics getting out of hand Doing one of those groups the topic of pictures or something came up which led to them taking pictures of each other in swimsuits which then lead to pictures of each other naked I wasn t completely sure if it led to sex between the women or just discussion about sex between the women and fisting This then led to the idea that they all wanted to try a really big dick Just once They would cut off their husbands treat them like dirt maybe even get a cage for their testicles and make them watch It was all kind of out there Then they actually decided to put this plan in motion They treated their husbands like crap gave them the cold shoulder cut off intimacy and started picking fights for weeks on end The husbands knew about this because they had a recording of one of their conversations They men didn t know what to do One of the guys puts his foot down and states he isn t going to tolerate it any Either she wants to be married or she doesn t She has a week to decide Even after threatening divorce they still decide to go forward with the plan Through most of the story it is told from the men s POV It wasn t until towards the end where we hear the women talking to each other The whole thing sounded crazy to me All of them said they loved their husbands and couldn t live without them They also said they wouldn t tolerate it if their husbands were to cheat on them but they didn t think it was wrong to do the same thing to them They didn t see anything wrong with treating their husbands like crap There was a comment that they were only doing this so they could have sex and see what a bigger dick was like Then why did they cut off sex with their husbands Alls well that ends well though All the women get their head out of their asses at the same time at the exact moment all the men are about to leave The women apologize and then F k them until they are comatose and they all pretty much get pregnant at the same time All the couples end up staying together and they all have a good life Clutch Club first started this book and wondered what the hell am I reading however the author has proven his worth and weaves a very reflective story of again non communication between husbands and wifes which almost trashes 5 families until several people relieze the consequences of their actions and wakes the FU Clutch Club
