Bodies under the pier pdf download So we have a washed up police officer retired young on health grounds We learn about this later and I feel this would make a tremendous backstory to this book He leaves the London Met police to take up an admin position with the Portsmouth police as an analyst He is brought in to support a team of detectives on the discovery of the mutilated bodies of two children found under the South parade pier in Southsea Portsmouth Nathan Hart is immediately unsteady as he is suffering PTSD after he discovered a similar corpse in the Thames some 10 years ago It is this experience and his sense of unfinished business that drive Hart to explore beyond his official remit and the storyline darkens as he experiences so many physical and mental symptoms that the doctors cannot diagnose. Book Bodies Under the pier What impressed me so much about this book was not just the fast pace I read in a little over 8 hours and I am usually a slow reader but the narrative was driven by a crackling dialogue that I felt put me as a reader slap bang in the middle of a chaotic and breathtaking plot This was a superbly penned thriller with no verbose fat It was down to the wire excitement angst sadness love and downright disguised evil.
