And Sawyer had caught his string and brought him back down to earth and stabilityI received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review Merry Farmer Star Stakes is the 6th book in The Brotherhood Legacy series It can be read as a standalone but I love reading the stories in order including the ones from The Brotherhood Origins and The Brotherhood series set in the Victorian era This book is about Casper the brotherhoods historian and Sawyer a rising star actor Both characters have their own insecurities and it makes them so real Casper feels invisible and Sawyer tries to keep his private life private I love the feelings were written I love the way Merry Farmer writes I would definitely recommend this book and series Merry Farmer I loved this book Great world building and wonderful characters I loved both Sawyer and Casper They were so sweet together and made such a perfect match They also had great chemistry They each had their own insecurities that made them relatable and I like how they supported each other I felt such a connection with Sawyer I I don t know what I am.

Book Star stakes definition I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review Merry Farmer Trust Merry Farmer to put together a bookish historian and a movie star and make it work just fine I am sad that another Brotherhood series is coming to an end but I m happy to see Casper finding his person There are so many lovely scenes as these two bumble their way towards each other I like how Ms Farmer makes a point of showing the bad side of celebrity and the ending was marvelous in how so much was resolved in unexpected ways without her just pulling a fast one on us I liked Casper than Sawyer but that s probably because I love history and books too I did like how loyal Sawyer is to his family despite their problems I really wish there was a real Chameleon Club and that I could visit and see Charlie.

Star skate park Now that I ve got some of the practical part of the review written I just want to squeee over this story I loved it It is one of my two favorite books in this series Star Stakes isn t anything like the other stories which had sex conflict and BDSM This was all about how Sawyer and Casper meshed emotionally mentally romantically and sexually The romance wasn t that they gifted each other presents or went to lavish events it was the intensity of their interactions How they gave each other their undivided attention And they weren t like other characters in the previous books When Sawyer and Casper had misunderstandings usually both would blame themselves and feel guilty and then they would try to apologize or communicate what they really meant when the circumstances next allowed them They would then quickly forgive each other if they felt slighted I really liked this aspect of two men who could discuss miscommunications between themselves and not hold grudges I think it was because neither was so wrapped up in big egos like the average man. Book Star stakes races Sawyer was charismatic handsome and an excellent actor His star was quickly rising without much effort on his part because he had all the attributes the public hungered for except a look see into his sex life Sawyer abhorred that part of his fame where everyone wanted to know what he was doing in the bedroom That was mostly because he didn t have a sex life and was afraid people would look at him like something was wrong with him He was a superstar and people expected him to be bedding anyone he wanted Except Sawyer was demi and hadn t met the special someone that he could connect with until he met Casper in the previous book and Sawyer hadn t forgotten Casper Sawyer also had a rough childhood with a dysfunctional family and an alcoholic father who derided him because Sawyer wasn t a tough man like his brothers and was gay Even though Sawyer bought a home for his family and he still lived at home his brothers and father belittled him Sawyer stayed at home to run interference for his mother and deflect negativity to himself Sawyer had low self esteem and only felt happy when he was acting although superstardom and its pressures were taking its toll Sawyer was at a crossroads wondering if he should quit acting He loved it but hated the scrutiny that came with fame. Star stacks software Casper has spent his life being invisible Being picked on when he was younger he learned to blend in and it carried on into adulthood People easily overlooked him since history didn t interest anyone as much as it did Casper But Casper s invisibility worked against him when hunting for a coveted professorship at a prestigious university He was also trying to find a publisher for his book on the Brotherhood but no one was interested in such a niche book Casper was disheartened He enjoyed working on the movie set as a historical consultant and interacting with Sawyer But he disliked people s noisiness into their relationship Sawyer wanted to take it slow and Casper was than happy to let Sawyer take the first step each time Sawyer needed someone like Casper who was sensitive understanding and saw Sawyer as a person and not a famous actor Who could ground Sawyer when Sawyer s fears and anxieties swept him up Casper needed to be seen by Sawyer as a person who had something valuable to give in knowledge and as a person And who could build Casper up when Casper was ignored pushed aside or was turned down again by a publishing company They helped each other become a better person. Book Star stakes us Casper and Sawyer fit together perfectly From the very beginning I believed in them as a couple They were opposite yet the same Sawyer drew people to him like moths to a flame Casper was ignored and only called upon when someone wanted something But they found each other because their emotional mental romantic and sexual needs matched Their romance was exactly like a Regency romance Think of Mr Darcy and Elizabeth and the tension between them The movie Sawyer was in was set during the Regency period and was even perfect The author did a fantastic job of straddling the line between the modern era then jumping back in time while on set yet keeping the emotional aspect of the past in the present It gave me all the romantic feels of a Modern Regency that kept me swooning. Star stake lights I don t know what I can say about Star Stakes Don t expect a lot of sex because this story isn t like that This book is about emotions and character development as Sawyer and Casper figure out what they want from life I loved this book and would read it again and am sad to read that this is the last in the series But if it is then it s the perfect story to end on I highly recommend this the stuffed Chameleon Ah well I will just have to keep reading the books about them.
