I m literally sobbing But also he is very much a man side eye but im also still so sad so its a small side eye This novella was chalk full of SO MUCH information and so many cool lores to do with the bible and obviously the rest of her incredible series It made me absolutely giddy sorting through fact and fun twist on everything I know true I don t know how Cassandra still continues to teach about the bible obviously not all of this is accurate in a way that s absolutely fascinating and enthralling to read but she does it everytime I find myself wanting to dive back into my bible and relive the stories which I appreciate beyond words. Lightroom anyway Back to the plot Adalaide is a woman ahead of her time and I immediately fell in love with her character.

For an angel eternity is a long time when you re forced to spend it alone Its about time Gabriel found his light in the endless dark Light By Cassandra AstonThis novella can be read as a standalone but man you ll be missing out if you haven t read the rest of the series first And giving yourself spoilers if you do decide to go back and read them But it s great Gabriel the angel who has been searching for his soulmate for millennia Adelaide the young witch just trying to live her life while demons have other plans And of course the demon who s keeping them apart. Lighthouse I love Adalaide with my whole heart She s sassy she doesn t care if he s an immortal ANGEL she isn t putting up with his garbage AND she s a stab first ask questions later kind of girl AKA she s everything you could want in an FMC. Flightaware a man He s a Ken He just wants to do angel s find his soulmate and live out eternity without going to therapy or learning how to communicate He s proof that regardless of species and millennia of life men need extensive therapy He s an idiot but I still love him If you re reading this as a standalone it s a cute Romeo Julietesque story with a touch of magic and demons And not NEARLY as heartbreaking as Firefly which I m still not over if we re being honest If you re reading this as part of the series this gives SO much insight into Gabriel as a character and some backstory on the journal full of alleged answers Allie and Rebecca have been reading We also get sassy Satan what can you really ask for It s also great for adding fuel to my theories about what happens in book three So. Lightshot yeah I m going to need that IMMEDIATELY Thank you to Cassandra as always for the opportunity to read her work ahead of publication I can t wait for the conclusion of the series and I m going to be so sad to say goodbye to everyone Kindle Edition I knew this was guna hurt but what I was absolutely unprepared for was how unbelievably accurate this love story is with the trials and tribulations couples go through Before I get into that though let s get into the characters First of all Adalaide is a whole vibe She is sassy she is iconic with her idgaf energy and her heart is one of the biggest ones out there She speaks her truth even when it s painful and lays some of the biggest facts that a lot of people cough men need to read. Lightlark The book does have some mild spice to make it appealing to those who enjoy spice While keeping it mild for those who could do without spice A nice balance The book moves at a quick pace following the MCs as they develop a relationship together and face challenges that will alter the course of all future generations of their line The characters are written beautifully with a ton of emotion This book pulls on your heart strings and the characters really make it possible The world building is done in the same world as the previous books This book adds layers to the characters and to the important parts of the main story line Kindle Edition I m trying to be as vague as possible to avoid spoilers I m just blown away I was so excited to read this novella but also a little scared I had a thought about something in Grave Prophecies and it sent a little bit of a chill down my spine I was really hoping it would be disproven in Light and I thought for a moment it was just for it to come roaring back in the last chapter I will be on pins and needles waiting for the conclusion of the series. Ebook lightroom I really didn t think much about Gabriel in book one and only mildly in book two When I read the blurb for Light and had seen some of the teasers my eyebrows definitely shot up Gabriel sounded hot lol I was really intrigued that he had a mate and that he likes the taste of bl00d Tell me He did not disappoint although there were so many times I wanted to take him by the shoulders and shake him He had been waiting for an eternity to find the other half of his soul and as soon as he did he flew away And then he finally gave in to his feelings just to disappear for months on end But the author did such a wonderful job of giving insight to his feelings to his struggles and fears and what motivated him in his actions I was near tears at the end as he desperately tried to fix everything and when he was waiting for Adalaide to show up my heart ached That was such an amazing scene Now for Adalaide Again I didn t know much about her previously just a snippet from Allie digging into Graves history If I didn t know Adalaide wasn t related to Rebecca Allie I would have found out pretty quickly She s strong resilient powerful and doesn t take crap from nobody A Graves woman through and through I really enjoyed seeing her journey and how her actions laid the groundwork for everything that would come for the Graves family Maybe some mistakes were made and she received some bad advice but she was truly trying to be selfless to help save her family and all of humankind And OMG Her scenes with Gabriel were smoking I think this can be read as a standalone but I highly recommend that you read Grave Secrets and Grave Prophecies first This novella provided so much backstory and it sheds new light on to the Graves family When you don t have that information in book one and two it feels kind of like a mystery or a puzzle to solve which to me is exciting Just a wonderful novella and an amazing addition to the Prophecies of Angels and Demons series. Lightinthebox I read this as a standalone Well technically Light was much less devastating than Firefly but still heart wrenching I haven t yet read the main series and I do feel like I m missing out on some context Regardless from reading these two novellas I ve decided that I love Cassandra s writing and the way she portrays her characters. Lightspeed While Gabriel is selfless and self loathing Adelaide is feisty and determined Gabriel makes a lot of infuriating decisions but Adelaide forgives him because well he is saving humans I can t wait to dive into the main series to see how this all plays out Thank you Cassandra for gifting me this ARC Kindle Edition 4. Lightning 5 This makes me love Gabriel even Gabriel has been one of the most mysterious characters in the POAAD Series and I was so excited to learn about him and his past I was also surprised in a good way that we got to learn about the history of the Graves family as well and we learn that their supernatural involvement goes much deeper than we previously thought Hearing Gabriel s story really explains why he is the way he is and Cassandra did a really good job of fleshing out this character and revealing his motivations and eccentricities Overall I d recommend this novella to fans of the POAAD series Rating 4. Book light 5 5 Kindle Edition This Novella hits so hard and had my heart hurting While it can be a Standalone it goes with the Prophesies of Angels and Demons so there will be information missing if you haven t read those This is book 2. Lightroom 5 and gives Gabriel s POV which helps explain of why he is the way he is It s a quick paced book and will have you pulled in I highly recommend you reading this Kindle Edition Are you trying to kill me with this This book broke my heart. Flight booking This book was jam packed with emotions It was small yet packed a punch Kindle Edition Light was so hard to read because I didn t realize that Gabriel was a soldier As a military wife no one could possibly empathize with Adalaide The oh I wouldn t be waiting around for a man or in her case angel love makes you do funny things When men are so singularly focused on missions and training and battles unfortunately they become time blind and family and loved ones aren t always at the forefront of their minds It s almost like a defense mechanism for them I won t give away any spoilers but I was so heartbroken by this story I wanted so much for him even though going in I know he didn t get a Happily every after I still wanted one On a brighter note we did get a lot of questions answered and loose ends tied up I m really excited about book 3 Kindle Edition.
