M Wakeford s writing Friends to Lovers is one of my favorites and a good pen pal romance is hard to come by I didn t even mind a little love triangle Sarah was a bit naive at times but she was a wonderful character overall I also really enjoyed Ben and catching up with some of the previous book s characters I look forward to reading from this author Read this if you like historical romance pen pals friends to lovers Kindle Edition I had never read this author prior to this series but I saw the cover from Book 1 liked it and thought I check her out A book cover always catches my eye first She only has 8 books total and only 3 in my genre I found Book 1 and 2 very interesting They read a bit different than my usual ton books and not a huge fan of stories taking place in America but it was okay I did read it in one day I was looking forward to this final book. Kindle the bluestocking's secret obsession read online This is a slow burn long distance friends to lovers romance and their correspondence is a major part of this story It s incredibly moving open honest at times heartbreaking and as the war progresses raw and bitter this part is so emotional and so beautifully written My only regret is that when these MCs finally manage to be on the same continent again after five years apart they spend very little on page time together and that was a little disappointing But all in all this was a very beautiful and compelling romance An emotional and original page turner and a wonderful read Kindle Edition It is a story of friendship and how it evolved over years of correspondence between two people As their friendship strengthens so too the extent in which their brutal frankness of all their feelings and emotions find expression through their writing It was inevitable really that they would eventually realise their fantasies were for each other However life happens in a way in which led to a fork in the road to this couple I very much enjoyed reading this I couldn t sleep because I couldn t put it down I identified with Benjamin and Sarah s plight and never stopped rooting for their HEA I wished there was another epilogue to the epilogue that showed what their life was in Ohio after they moved there I reluctantly had to put the book down after reading it I know I will re read it again soon MM Wakeford writes an intoxicating tale of falling in love and the nature of true love that it does not always travel a straight line between two people it may even lose momentum for a while but in the end True Love always find its way to 2 fated hearts in love.
