This little short 8 chapters only read was about to get a DNF until I got to the last chapter Unfortunately it wasn t enough to keep my interest The storyline was way too weak the characters were so bland the plot was practically nonexistent and while the HEA or less saved the story in the last chapter it was too little too late. At this point in time I doubt if I ll read any additional books in this series You need to decide for yourself I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book and found it severely lacking Savory Love Park Ranch Book 1 The book or precisely a medium size story is good A bit too much drama for my taste but the HEA compensates all the stress I loved FMC but was midly irritated with MMC. Savory Love by Gia Ash is a sort only 72 page story of a second chance romance between Chef Alex Park who has returned from New York in disgraced and his high school sweetheart Riley Flores who is in town for a tv showWhile the advantage of Savory Love is that it being only 72 pages it can be read in an afternoon and you will have read an enjoyable cowboy romance. which means that the story could have been a bit longer it may have been a better read especially as the characters of Riley Flores and Alex Park had enough of a personality for a longer novel. Having said that Savory Love by Gia Ash is still worth reading if you have an evening to spare Savory Love Park Ranch Book 1 This short story follows Alex and Riley They were HS sweethearts who had a very unresolved break up They both went on to have successful careers now 18 years later they are back in their small hometown and they run into each other Alex has had a pretty spectacular failure and has come home to hide out and Riley is taking a break and also scoping out potential casts for the upcoming season of her popular show. This is a cute short read You honestly get a surprising amount of back story for such a short read It worked If you have a quick hour and you want a cute Second Chance with a HEA this book is for you. I m pleased though that I certainly didn t feel forced in this case I very much enjoyed this novella for what it was and liked the characters we were introduced to If you re after a ground breaking life altering romance then this isn t it but what this does do is act as a great palette cleansing contemporary romance and great introduction to Gia s work Savory Love Park Ranch Book 1 2. 25 5 4 5 7 20 159 240 Meh I should have expected it because it s a novella but it was too short to really dive into the characters and empathize with their struggles The story had potential but it felt rushed and underdeveloped On a positive note it was a nice second chance romance Bof Je m y attendais vu que c est une novella mais c tait trop court pour vraiment explorer les personnages et sympathiser avec leurs difficult s L histoire avait du potentiel mais elle a sembl pr cipit e et sous d velopp e Cela dit c tait une jolie romance de seconde chance Savory Love Park Ranch Book 1 I love a multicultural romance especially since I m the product of one The cover is so cute It s a standard cute cartoon cover with you know what inside The opening paragraph sets the mood lol I wasn t expecting much from such a short book but there was so much depth than a 300 page novel in terms of backstory We love being concise Alex and Riley were cool characters with the potential to have a very cute reconnection although I think the romance there could ve been developed. 5 I prefer to select 4 than 3 I decided to pick this one up because I ve been loving Cowboy romances and this was also a very quick minimal page read Overall I did enjoy the story however I would of liked to have seen of the background between the two lead characters as this is the beginning of a series I m wondering if it is going to expand to show of their dynamic or whether this is their time ended Riley Alex are a sweet couple but I did find the pace to quick at times with them being angry at each other one second to a steamy session in the next paragraph. My only full downside would be that this book is laid out very strangely there seems to be paragraph markers everywhere which when you condensed those this already very short 70 page book would of probably lost about 10 pages from gaps Savory Love Park Ranch Book 1 3. 5 A short story of 8 chapters which starts with regular drama but towards the middle the spicy moment between the couple is spectacular then the drama appears again if she tells you he loves you why do you leave but in the end everything is happinessRead it if you like Second Chances Small Town Multicultural romance Opposites attract High school sweetheartsI recommend this book if you want to read something short of less than 100 pages or to get out of a reading block.
