Will hope and love bring them together English Navajo Activist Jacob doesn t want bodyguard Seth s protection but the protest that he s leading against the company that is poisoning his people and their land is putting his life in danger It doesn t matter that we don t get along as I ll still devote everything I have to sure he s safe As Seth gets to know the people and family that Jacob is fighting to protect the moe he admires and respects him The danger that Seth discovers that Jacob is in the Seth is too This assignment is going to cost Seth his heart. Guardian's global edition the guardian I enjoyed this story about a battle to protect Jacob s family and friends which also the battle to let Seth protect Jacob and how that then transformed into a deep affection between the two men I loved how others stepped up to help the Navajo as they fought against a powerful opponent and they were able to contribute to bringing down a corrupt company and system A huge amount of emotions and feelings in this story as there is the poisoning of the water supply.

I found this a really interesting book as well as a good story to read one of the main characters Jacob is a Navajo Indian and there is a lot about their culture as well as the environmental issues which result in Seth being sent to act as his bodyguard Their attraction follows quickly on from Jacob s initial reluctance to accept that he needs a bodyguard their lives get complicated and dangerous Every time I think I had it figured out I was surprise by what happened next This book was so good English I loved Jacob and Seth s story This was a book with an original plot or at least new to me plot I don t read many romances that have environmental activism in them I ve only read a handful of romances with the MC being Native American but the protest that he s leading against the company that is poisoning his people and their land is putting his life in danger It doesn t matter that we don t get along I ll devote everything I have to making sure he s safe It s my job The I get to know him though and his family and the better I learn to understand his people and their land the I admire and respect him Also the danger I discover he is in So am I There s no way this assignment isn t going to cost me my heart Guardian s Guard Alden Security 3 Love and Protection . Guardian's Guard pdf merger The relentless protest against The Calmer Co plant which has been poisoning the Navajo land its water source and its people over the past 2 years is definitely putting a target on Navajo activist Jacob Sanchez since the company has too much to lose if they can t stop him regardless of what they lengths they have to go to The town near them has also been affected and many have joined Jacob s protest Plant manager Frank Montgomery approaches the guarded gate to offer money for them to go away even though he tries to deny the plant s chemical pollution has caused deaths Then with a nasty smirk he offers to maybe hire a few of their people at minimum wage so they can survive Otherwise he intends to make all their lives miserable if they don t cooperate But he can see that Jacob is not backing down and Jacob promises he will be bringing reporters the next day drawing attention and escalating the issue to force an official investigation Stopping briefly at the store Jacob buys his groceries and walks back toward his apartment Suddenly hands wrap around his mouth and drag him into the alley as 3 men begin their attack on him one of them holding a crowbar to make sure he gets the message He fights back and is struck in the side with a baseball bat Despite the damage they do to him he overcomes all 3 of them and limping and bleeding he gathers his spilled groceries and returns home to take care of his wounds His best friend Atsa Chavis arrives to continue the first aid and suggests they back off from the protest for now Of course Jacob won t even consider it So ignoring Jacob s arguments Atsa calls a friend in Alden Security ex military and will make sure Montgomery doesn t try to murder Jacob which now seems very likely Jacob Sanchez continues to insist he doesn t need a bodyguard and doesn t want bodyguard Seth to protect him But despite Jacob s resistance Seth admires the courage and determination he sees and intends to make certain that Jacob is kept safe until all of this is over They get to know and respect each other Will Jacob s protest of the plant prevail Will Seth keep him safe as hostility intensifies Will they finally catch the attention of the Federal EPA to step in and make things right again And as emotions flair family love and the love between these two men Easy to read feel and understand This was an MM story with mature content English A very enjoyable story focusing mainly on the theme of ecological activism The protagonists are Jacob who is Native American and Seth a bodyguard hired to protect Jacob from the schemes of people working for a predatory company that produces toxic waste poisoning the land The story carries a positive message but the journey to achieve its goal is arduous and challenging While romance plays a significant role it isn t the primary focus instead the narrative delves into the series of protests and the relentless battle against the corporation and its employees who spare no effort to perpetuate their harmful practices of polluting the land. Guardian garage door motors The romance itself constitutes only roughly 1 4 of the book which is why I can t give the story 5 stars because personally I like books strongly focused on the romantic aspect of the characters relationships This book shows a broader scope certainly interesting for people interested in ecological activism as well as the history and traditions of the Navajo Because I am not American these themes were not as emotionally resonant for me as they certainly are for citizens of this country so there were moments when it was difficult for me to focus Additionally the author has a specific writing style with large paragraphs not divided into smaller chunks which was a bit inconvenient for someone with my eyesight and concentration issues. Book Guardian's guardio On the plus side I have to acknowledge that what I was somewhat afraid of did not happen which is that Jacob would be cold and try to dominate Seth or show him racism Fortunately this did not occur Another plus Jacob allowed himself to be saved and did not cause a scene about it as some MM romance heroes do who cannot stand the thought that someone wants to protect them because the person cares about them Thankfully that wasn t the case here And that annoys me in so many books see Riley Heart Pretty Sweet if you want to read my meltdown there over the fact that the hero doesn t allow himself to be saved because darn it he s sooooo strong on his own and it s offensive to him that someone defends him WTF A big plus for the author is that Jacob wasn t obnoxious but rather sweet and realized he actually needed help It takes great courage to admit that you need help and that was beautifully written by the author Good job here We are all humans not superhumans It s good to be aware of that and allow ourselves to say help me It s a sign of strength and wisdom not a weakness. Guardian's Guard kindle books It s an honest review from an ARC copy English Amazing I loved this one a lot First the plot is so compelling and original I ve not read many romances or any maybe that focus on environmental activism and Native American culture plus it was executed so perfectly I absolutely loved spending time with Jacob and his family Seth slowly joining the cause and being enveloped with such love and support by everyone was my favorite part I loved how the author focused on the human cost of the Calmer Co unsafe practices which are catastrophic for the land but also for Jacob and his uncle There is a very good and truly evil villain in Frank Montgomery which really amped up the tension and suspense in the story The romance between Jacob and Seth is pretty flawless for me they have such a quiet intimacy in their connection that really pulled me in Really special I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book English Jacob and Seth on the Reservation Colorado Mountains Navaho Reservation Jacob 26 long dark hair bun or braids is an activist their water is being poisoned by a factory dumping chemicals into their river Jacob s Uncle has cancer Seth 29 short black hair from a military family was in the Navy and works for Alden Security He s there to protect Jacob Jacob fights his way out of an attempted kidnapping and gets injured so security is coming There are lots of vivid descriptions of the violence in this tale from the brutal attacks on protestors with hoses Tasers and clubs Plus the 2 kidnappings cruel beatings attempted murder and violence with dogs and going on Between the attacks and discussions with reporters and elders we have deep feelings our MCs as they have for each other including their hot sexy times Seth rescues Jacob and the final protestors vs the hired goons puts Seth into a PTSD episode of a flashback from war he experienced These two belong together The protestors have a partial victory with to come ENJOY English
