propels you forward it was also nice that events that would normally lead to chapters of uncertainly and conflict were resolved quickly with forgiveness that felt genuine Maybe I could have done and Tooth and Claw is my favorite so far To say that it s fast paced and action packed doesn t do it justice because this book will quite literally keep you on the edge of your seat. Tooth and clawvenus If you ve read Hunters and Blood to Earth you re now very familiar with the characters in the series and the issues they face In Tooth and Claw all of that political tension comes to a head the characters come together in a way we haven t seen them do to this point and many questions are answered With Lyssa s plans to overthrow the StormHall regime on the cusp of being enacted the bad actors still have tricks up their sleeves that cause curveballs galore Nothing is as it seems right down to the Nexus Summit bombing from Hunters Within this story Ford has interwoven multiple mysteries some of which find a conclusion in this book and some that continue on for the next book in the series As always Ford s world building is eloquent and subtle We get a clear picture of his people and places without the endlessly boring exposition other fantasy authors use to bog down their stories While this is a large book there is nothing unnecessary in it and every moment will have you turning the page for Tooth and Claw has the celebration of victory the agony of defeat twists turns and the kind of cliffhangers that will make you say Just one chapter until you ve devoured it 1957474009
