An excellent entry into the science fiction genre It s been a while since I read a superhero story that was so engaging I m excited to see how the story continues over time and recommend checking it out 9798882561245 I recommend this book if you like gun fights post apocalyptic settings and dueling factions The story is told in a narrative style in 1st person POV Eric is just a regular guy who misses video games and the safety of the previous world When the solar storms start most survivors create small communities of people working together but there are rivaling groups who seem to want to destroy the security others have managed to form I was never fully clear on why Kyle our bad guy had it out for Eric and his group as Eric didn t know either I m curious if this will be explored in later books I would ve liked to see strong emotions out of the characters and the powers emerge earlier in the story but I think it s a great debut novel and it s boy vibes I found refreshing 9798882561245
