A Best Friend in Bent creekline a best friend to lovers romance trope The story starts out with Colt and Sam reconnecting after some time apart from each other when Sam had reached out to him asking for help in a situation she had gotten herself in These two have great chemistry and you could relate to the hoops they had to work through as they were navigating who they were as kids and who they have become as adults I thoroughly enjoyed the growth of Colt throughout this book from the kind of person he was when he arrived to being a better version of himself by the end I loved that Sam was patient and forgiving That she was compassionate and kept herself open to hear things out before making absolute judgments and decisions Catie Cahill does a great job continuing in this series with Colt Sam Clean romance with plenty of chemistry and passion a good amount of mystery intrigue and very well written with no crude language of profanity I CANNOT wait for the next book I received an advanced copy of this book and all my thoughts and opinions are my own Catie Cahill Great addition to this series Colt and Sam are a very interesting couple Best friends for years even though apart Colt comes back to Bent Creek in response to Sam s text The personal growth and acceptance that Colt experiences is wonderful to read Sam is dealing with the consequences and guilt of her actions that result in Colt returning to try and help her I love how everything is so well written that you actually feel as if you are a part of these families I can t wait for the next one Loved it.
