A fast paced read full of family drama danger betrayal and discovering true love Silas and Cloe s story grabbed hold of me and refused to let go until the end I couldn t put it down I love to read about dragons and this series has it all I love everything about this series and am so looking forward to the next book in this series I read an Advanced e copy and am Voluntarily leaving a review Kindle Edition Love loyalty and dragonsI loved this dragon human fake relationship romance with a side of political machinations The story sucked me right in and it was hard to put down The story included the perfect balance of humor heartwarming love real life issues painful pasts cultural species differences intrigue danger loyalty and spice Silas is a dragon from a wealthy and politically connected family He desires a true mate not a politically arranged match He fought in the dragon and human war When a ceasefire is negotiated the terms included the requirement of eight human women yearly to serve as dragon mates Chloe is a human spy whose mission is to become a dragon mate and get the information about the secret location of the dragons back to the government She is prepared for a fake relationship for the mission but then things become complicated when feelings get involved In addition not all dragons are happy to have humans amongst them There is a lot against a successful forever relationship between Chloe and Silas including Silas own family To get to their HEA they ll need to be honest and to learn to trust each other while trying to unpack their own baggage and wade through the politics and backstabbing of dragon society The story was well written and included witty dialogue great world building three dimensional characters who grow but this series leaves a lotunsaid Personally I would like plot and less sex every other page I hope all characters from each book will all be together at some point They all live in the same place The concept is new and I enjoyed that Kindle Edition
