This was such a unique and entertaining read The world the author created was quite intriguing and unlike anything I ve read about before It was a very whimsical and interesting murder mystery to say the least In this book the small town of Ellipsis exists between the lines of a manuscript and life revolves around the text The town does what they can to preserve the words the author wrote and abandoned years ago When a dead body is discovered at Prosperina s shop and parts of Ellipsis start falling apart for no reason she tries to save her town before it collapses Read this if you like Adventurous plots Cozy mystery stories Literary references Grumpy Sunshine This was a quirky and fun one definitely written with book lovers in mind Thank you to the publisher for sending me a gifted copy of the book Prosp rine Virgule Point et la phrase sans fin I m still thinking on how to describe this book I have never read a story like it About people living within written text whose sole purpose is maintaining said text It s a mix of whimsy and murder mystery very cool concept In the beginning I had to reread a bit to kinda get into the way it is written For example Honorius MMC moved to The Capital and there they have a proper way of speaking so all his words are capitalized Prosperina s FMC brother swallowed a dictionary when he was a kid so his sentences are complex It s very quirky and fun don t know if it s for everyone but I really enjoyed it Prosp rine Virgule Point et la phrase sans fin Un livre tr s beau visuellement Il est rare de trouver un si bel hardback pour ce prix L histoire est original et accompagn e de belles illustrations Je l ai finalement termin plus vite que ce que je pensais J ai vraiment t absorb e sur la fin de l histoire Un petit cosy mystery crois avec de la fantasy sympathique lire Prosp rine Virgule Point et la phrase sans fin I seriously am so sad that this does not have a physical copy because after reading this I was already looking to buy a copy for myself This was so cute and intriguing the plot itself already is so nicely done and the world building was fascinating I think for what the plot did and what the author was trying to achieve with this story it was really well done The overall moral of stories all being valuable regardless of by who or how it s written really did show I love love loved it please make a physical copy Prosp rine Virgule Point et la phrase sans fin tl drA fun book for lovers of books that plays with layouts grammar and a unique world to build a fun mystery. Prospérine Virgule-Point et la phrase sans finx etf ThoughtsI didn t know what to expect when going into this book and I found myself surprised to find the illustrations drop a corpse literally into the text Turns out the book plays with layout a lot not just illustrations but text as well As a book about books it has a very meta playful self awareness and I especially liked all the interesting ways the layout and formatting were used to tell the story A series of grammatical jokes and a few friendly jabs at every writer s first iffy attempts cap this off as a book definitely aimed at fans of books The two leads are fun enough but the standout character winds up being an enthusiastic and hungry flower named Eloise who I adored in every scene World building is unique and fairly vast and can run a little long at times just to get all the names and places in The first part of the book moves a little slowly because of this but it picks up in the second half and all the lore drops fit together really well for the solution to the mystery.
