EBook The godmothered disney and I think I went in with prior knowledge having read previous books never trust anything I loved the tension that built up throughout this story and the almost creepy atmosphere The short chapters had me powering through this in just a couple of sittings as I just had to find out what was going on Another brilliant read and I can t wait for the next 341 To say this was a freaking mind blowing story is a total understatement I could not put this down and never imagined it would go the way it did Shockingly good and twisted Never read this author before but will definitely keep an eye open for I hate that I picked this up to read as a side book instead of with my book bestie because THIS is definitely one to talk about I ll be telling her to put this one on her list Thank you so much for allowing me to read this Highly recommend 341 I ve just turned forty My ex dumped me a year ago and I m still not over My best friend Maddie has everything I ve ever wanted A successful.

Please read this book Such a job well done Thank you NetGalley and Joffe Books for this ARC in exchange for my honest review 341 This was a tough read due to the subject matter so hard to give it a high rating The ending did shock me and actually the different the storyline went in surprised me too I thought the whole thing was really shocking I love a horror and the gore but this book left a really sour taste in my mouth The characters were very difficult to like or relate to and the subject was not enjoyable hard to explain without ruining the book but very triggering subjects covered and it felt like in part skimmed over entirely like they were just based for shock value 341 I wasn t sure about this book at the start.

I received this book via NetGalley for an honest review I went into this book blind I requested it because the cover and title felt like a psych thriller which is my favorite genre There wasn t a single likable character in the book I rarely guess the twist and since I did in this case I wouldn t really call it a twist Without going into too much to avoid spoilers the way Zoe handled the situation with Joe was beyond ridiculous and lacked logic I am in the US so I only know about how evidence is collected here But I can t imagine that blood tests aren t a way to collect evidence in the UK All of these adults being manipulated by teenagers was unbelievable Between Gabriella the phone the CCTV footage I could not believe how stupid these adults were. Purpose of godmother Lastly the author s note kept referring to a book called My Secret Son Was that the original title or is she referring to a different book that she has written 341 First I want to thank Jane E James Joffe Books and Zooloo Book Tours for providing me with this book so I may bring you this review OMG. The godmother jane e james Jane E James just got a new die hard fan Her creative outside of the box explosive story deserves way than 5 stars This by far is the best psychological thriller I have read this year You must run not walk to your local bookstore and grab it WOW Jane E James needs to be commended for all of her taboo storylines in The Godmother I just loved how bold she was to write about jaw dropping subjects It was totally scandalous Dang I just can t believe she went all the places she went in this book Jane dropped bombshell after bombshell that will have you glued to your Kindle Infact once I started reading I couldn t put it down It was just soo good The Godmother must be made into a Netflix series I need to see this unfold on the small screen It is just incredible 341 The book was shocking twisted and filled with unexpected twists and turns The plot twists were shocking and the truth was twisted Zoe and Maddie are best friends Maddie has a perfect life She married a successful surgeon while Zoe is independent but Maddie s life makes her jealous Maddie s life looks perfect from outside but is it really While Joe is Maddie s son and Zoe s Godchild Everything was perfect until one night Joe disappears and his disappearance has something to do with Zoe as he was last seen at her house The truths were shocking and the author did an amazing job with the plot twists and building the suspense The ending was jaw dropping but it also raised a question in my mind The book is addictive unputdownable and shocking I would recommend it to thriller readers Many Thanks to Author Publisher and Zooloo s book tours 341 After loving my last couple of reads by this author I couldn t wait to get stuck into this one which promised to be another brilliant psychological thriller Once again the writing style just sucks you right in from the first page and this was such a rollercoaster throughout that I literally couldn t put it down The story is told from the 2 main characters pov s Zoe and Maggie The long term best friends story gradually unravels as we learn about each of their lives Maddie has everything Zoe has ever wanted that is until one night when her Godson Joe arrives with news that will change everyone s lives forever This was such a unique storyline and it never seemed to go the way I d imagined I usually love to make assumptions and theories but this one really had me guessing right to the end when even then handsome husband A designer riverside home A cleaner A gardener A luxury kitchen that cost three times my salary And Joe their sixteen year old Joe my strapping sweet natured godson says I m like his second mum Sometimes I think I m closer to him than his real mum Then late one night there s a hammering at the door It s Joe Visibly upset and angry He rushes past me before I even get the chance to invite him inside What he tells me and what happens next will destroy EVERYTHING AN EXHILARATING PSYCHOLOGICAL SUSPENSE WITH TWISTS THAT WILL MAKE YOU GASP. Kindle The godmother definition Thank you to Joffe Books ZooLoosBt and NetGalley for allowing me to read and review this book 341 Holy twists turns This book BLEW MY MIND If I could give it six stars I would I m still thinking about it days later and that never happens This was my 1st book by James and i am definitely going on a binge of all of her books real soon This book is extremely well written The character development was on point and the plot was executed extremely well There are dual POVs in this story Zoe and Maggie The two ladies are best friends but there are secrets they are keeping from one another Throw in lies betrayal jealousy and deceit and you have this wild ride Every chapter ends on a masterfully crafted cliffhanger so you can t put this book down The twists and turns are definitely giving what they need to give And can we talk about the ending So unexpected My mouth was open for a long time If you like thrillers with unpredictable twists that you can t put down but I carried on and found that I liked it I liked it so much I stayed up late straining my eyes in bed to finish it and then I was totally repulsed by the ending Why I read it as a psychological thriller and the correct characteristics of the genre were all present Well developed characters made their choices for good or ill with some very believable moral conflicts driving the story forward So far so good The cast was an unpleasant bunch which isn t a problem in such a story One of them caught my sympathy however a long way from perfect but sinned against than sinning on balance I felt and which I m sure was the author s intention While the others grew and repellent this one s sufferings provided balance which kept me reading because total repulsion from them all would have alienated me and I wouldn t have finished the book Finish it I did though and a bitter ending it was twisted in both plot and persons and that s where the problem lay because it moved genre into horror and I don t like horror I ve beta read a few books for a friend but normally it s a no no for me The characteristics had all been there from the start I realised A claustrophobic setting in a small town I have some happy memories of Stamford amongst a seemingly close knit group of characters all engaged in keeping secrets and or self deceiving There was than one monster pretty much all the main characters in fact apart from the one who attempted self honesty and therefore was merely a flawed human being who filled the required role of victim There was violence and the familiar made strange through people who behaved normally on the surface but who were so dark and warped inside The ending pushed the boundaries of belief I m afraid and gave no sense of hope fear rather for the newest character I know that human society has its share of psychopaths and sociopaths I ve met my share in my time This went way beyond though because although I don t want to believe it possible I think it could be and that s the essence of horror Well written for the most part but I d keep that ending in mind 341 This book WOW Every time I turned around something else crazy was happening This book was so well written Dual points of view at the same time switching back and forth each chapter added such a deeper understanding of the characters This book kept me on the edge of my seat the entire time 341
