You can t keep a good thief downno matter how hard you try Some men are built for retirement Not John Lash He s too good at what he does to give it up John Lash is a thief A second story man A prowler After he violently avenges his murdered friend in Los Angeles Lash must lay low in Chicagountil a beautiful woman entices him out of his forced retirement and straight into a plot to break into a former military bunker turned into luxury apartments for the rich and paranoid There s a fortune waiting underground And a potential government pardon if he wants to play nice with the FBI and collect State s evidence But even with old friends and new allies he ll need all his skills and a lot of luck to outwit and outfight a gang of outlaw bikers armed for armageddon and primed to collect the same prize he seeks Before this heist is over John Lash will prove to them all why he is the King of the Prowlers Or this bunker will be his tomb Accept no substitutes action fans When you re finished with Parker and Reacher move on to the anti hero who s a cut above them all Intense shootouts dangerous enemies plenty of lurid excitement and enough twists and turns to satisfy the most jaded hard boiled fiction fanatic King of the Prowlers is another great throwback thriller from Clint Reno King of the Prowlers Lash Book 2 I wish I d written it 185 Clint Reno strikes again Lash is back for another rip roaring heist The story is wound tight in the first half setting up the players the allegiances and the schemes before all hell breaks loose on the job There s action and adventure but also some emotional growth from our intrepid jawbreaker He might even be in love Say it ain t so Still this is Clint Reno so we get Feds bikers explosions and geisha orgies No one will ever mistake this for a Sally Rooney novel and that s what makes it awesome 185 A new Lash book is a save the date situation I cleared my calendar for this release and was not disappointed Lash never fails to get every hound in hell nipping at his heels within the first few chapters As always the rest is a satisfying pulpfest Lash is a character with heart and he never fails to put it on the line 185 King of the Prowlers the follow up to last year s One Lash to Kill plays out like a Parker novel the first half introduces the heist and relevant players the second half is the action packed execution Sex guns and mayhem with a cliffhanger that has me jonesing for Lash 3 185 One thing is immediately apparent in this novel Clint Reno is a natural storyteller The flow the characters the dialogue the action the sex the violence the humor the intrigue scene to scene to scene It all works and it s all excellent He makes it look easy The book starts with Lash bored Chicago and then moves the action back to LA and there s a real sense of place that gives the book movement and grit Marguerite Vinnie Dekker et al make for a great ensemble cast A terrific read Ready for round 3 with John Lash 185 Here s the perfect book to read by the side of the pool In King of the Prowlers Lash takes on two biker gangs and falls in love Hard knocks are a bonus This is fun pulp well written too Start the summer with a bang 185
