Ah home sweet home or so I thought Not long after I return to my hometown I get an eviction notice pinned to my door No this isn t an eviction it s a deportation By the queen s orders half orcs are no longer welcome in the city That includes me I m forced to leave my pub and go questing for lack of a better word And because pretty Ed Muskin still owes me a favor he s coming with me What kind of trouble are we going to get into now I wonder Involuntary Questing Heroes u0026 Halflings Book 2 This 2nd book in the Heroes and Halflings series takes us back to the city as we travel with Orca the half orc and Edward the sorcerer and brother of Wren the Demonica who they had left in Daimonas the demon city However when they arrive they soon have to leave as Orca receives an eviction letter and has to abandon her tavern which was not doing well anyway Poor Orca being a half orc is hated and reviled by mostly everyone so when Edward says he will accompany her she thinks he is teasing her Turns out that Edward who she has fallen in love with returns her feelings I love that this book is like a slap in the face for all the haters of Orca and though she cannot believe such a handsome and powerful mage could ever love her Edward sees right to her very heart and soul and does not just look skin deep The people s prejudices do not just stop were halflings are concerned they also turn to the demonicas and Wren s life may once again be in grave danger I do think from the twist the tale took when Glacius came into it that the 3rd book just needs to be read immediately as The cliffhanger ending is just too much I love that this series deals with prejudice and hatred towards those who are different to the norm.
