I wanted 103 This short and fast paced story has a good plotline however it might not be everyone s taste I enjoyed the action and the scenes that drove the plot however I found myself cringing when the MCs meet A skilled assassin supposedly being hunted by someone meant to protect her target all that anticipation just went out the window I didn t like the oh my world what is happening Why do I feel so attracted to him her kind of thing I think the spice or romance or whatever we can call it really ruined the book for me I do enjoy a good enemies to lovers but this would have been wayyyyyy better without them having thrown themselves at each other This book had so much of potential initially so I am disappointed However maybe the authors next book might be better so I ll probably give her another chance because the plot on this one was good 103 This book was so much fun to write It poured out of my in a matter of days.

4 5 Good written short read Characters are well developed The story is interesting A bit the romance was off for me somehow irritating at places but this didn t ruined the reading 103 Former assassin turned small town baker Leah was living a peaceful life with her best friend Tameer when she got an offer she couldn t refuse She d never killed a king before but the money was enough to set them up for life and the king was a violent monster Really by killing him she d be doing the world a favor One last job What could go wrong Ash captain of the King s Guard has plenty of secrets and his own reasons for wanting the king dead but he sure as hells isn t going to let some half fae assassin steal his revenge If anyone is going to kill the king it will be him But first he has to stop the murderess from fulfilling her contract and ruining his only chance at redemption Of Poison and Passion is a New Adult Fantasy Romance There are some flashback scenes of sexual abuse violence against children mild blood and gore and hints at spousal abuse If any of these things might upset or trigger you please don t read this book Not all books are for all readers I don t want anyone to be hurt by my words Of Poison and Passion Vexia Novellas 1 A fun fast story about an assassin and a Royal Guardsman Leah is hired to assassinate the king Ash is Royal Guardsman set to kill the assassin assassin before she can get to the king In the end they realize they both want the king dead and joined forces Good world and character building A great story story story to read 103 This cute quick read was exactly what I needed today Though this is a novella Wanless immediately created a sense of family between our FMC Leah and her best friend Tameer Their interactions were hilarious to read and you definitely felt their trust and familial love for one another very quickly I just adored their relationship I also loved the insight into Leah s and Tameer s backgrounds we were given as well as the backgrounds of Ash and Queen Irena I m hoping we will get novellas covering Tameer and Queen Irena as I would snatch those up in a heartbeat It comes as no surprise to me that I loved how snarky and blunt Leah was I especially loved when it threw Ash in a tizzy as an extra fun bonus Their back and forth was also fun to read having her quick wit outpace his stoic demeanor and get him to open up. Of poison and passionk book With the many places mentioned throughout the story I would love to see a map of this world especially if novellas come from it I wish the main sexual encounter would not have been fade to black With all the passing talk of spankings flowing so seamlessly It was just begging to be written I hope you enjoy reading it as much as I enjoyed writing it 103 I truly enjoyed reading this adult cozy romantasy Wanless sweeps you away into a fantasy world with not only poison and passion but also Fae thieves best friends and happily ever afters Her writing just keeps getting better and better Definitely recommend 103
