What this is my good book peeps is the story of a woman who has twice been burned finding that sometimes the third time really is a charm I LOVED this book I have a minor niggle but it really is a minor one and I ll come back to that. Sam is working hard to keep her family together She struggles as a single parent to three exceptionally gifted children without any help from their sperm donor Eldest child s words not mine or loser number two Then Tony rail roads himself into her life and knocks things way off kilter. What I especially loved about this was the patience that Sam had with Tony and vice versa except maybe the spoiling thing Sam is wary and it takes time for her to fully open up to Tony about loser numbers one and two Once he knows this he tries really REALLY hard to see things from Sam s point of view He messes up yes but once Sam realises he only did that thing for HER and her children with nothing wanted in return she comes around. I loved how Sam once she found her feet slotted into Tony s world It was daunting meeting all these Hollywood A listers was difficult at best but Tony s real friends not the three dollar bills ones took to Sam equally well And the kids too It s deeply emotional given what Sam has been through and I felt her at some points having been through some things like her myself It s not overly smexy though and I think for this book it was a perfect amount of smexiness It takes Sam time to let Tony get that close to her and I loved that he was willing to wait for this amazing woman who couldn t see that she was I adored I mean it made me cry what Tony did with Sam s house plans That really was a wonderful way to show here that he was serious about her and the kids Bawled my head off when she discovered the kitchen So my niggle And as I said it really is just a niggle and me being greedy but it s my review and this is how I feel. We don t get Tony At all And I desperately wanted to hear from him at some point along the way Once I realised it was just Sam s point of view I was resigned to not hearing from him It would have just made this book I think Not that it takes away from this outstanding piece of work I wonder how much of the author I see in Sam It s written in such a way that makes me think there is SOME author in Sam and I loved that. and if we could fully trust Tony sorry but we love love him It s a rollercoaster of emotions but in a good way The side characters are also a hoot and bring a lot of humor and depth to the story. H Pratt I absolutely fell in love with Sam She was just such a heartwarming and realistic character My husband is my third husband much like Sam I was pretty much done with men before finding him however I didn t have the added complexity of kids when I met him I often find that the details of characters lives get glossed over in novels the ins and outs forgotten but that was not the case here it felt normal and it just flowed nicely Sam struggles raising three kids on her own but she owns it and we get to go on that journey with her When Tony came along Sam was not looking and resisted him He kept encouraging her to try but it was not in an aggressive or overbearing way again like the rest of the book it felt completely natural Tony was such a lovable guy who only ever did good things he is the ultimate golden retriever Tony would do anything for Sam and really showed I loved how supportive of her he was I also really enjoyed the side characters including Sam s kids They all had some appearances and they really added a lot to the story and rounded it out This is one of those books that I didn t want to put down The writing in this book is top notch and S. H Pratt Have you met Tony yet The best wet dream of 2024 I ve read every night that I could and waited with anticipation to pick it back up I literally hit myself in the face with my phone 3 times while reading it because I didn t want to go to sleep. Tony what can I say other than where do I find one He has realist flaws and he is perfect in all of the ways that actually matter Is he a saint like most booms make the lead male out to be not at all He is the attainable book boyfriend He is the guy who will buy you coffee and go fabric shopping with you The guy who listens to the quite details most dont pick up on You like to wear a certain perfume only beautiful and worth it You are an amazing writer and cannot wait to read the next book you put out A job well done once again S. H Pratt I enjoyed this story great characters good story Sam is a single mom who has had bad luck with loser guys in her past She just needed the right guy to come along and show her that she was loveable and beautiful S.
He s got you He is the kinda guy who remembers your coffee order The kinda guy who sees you for you and welcomes it, H Pratt Loved loved loved it from start to finish SH Pratt has written another fantastical book S, I loved the kids they really are amazing and they take to Tony wonderfully well They warn him to look after their mum and he takes that very VERY seriously. I loved this book no Tony notwithstanding so it can only get 5 full and shiny stars same worded review will appear elsewhere S. Which in meeting her ex I do not blame her at all for keeping such a high guard I honestly loved to see if Sam could fully warm up to Noah. Tropes journey into love healing and second chances I loved the perfect balance between heartache and hope crafting a narrative that keeps you engaged from start to finish S, H Pratt did a fantastic job with it If you are looking for a fantastic contemporary romance with realistic characters then you need to check this out Thank you to s, pratt for sending me a copy of this book All thoughts are my own S: H Pratt and I have not found one of her books I haven t liked yet.H Pratt Sam who s got a bit of a guard up.h.This is my favorite book to date by S.H Pratt
