I loved this book so much I didn t want it to end First of all the book itself is gorgeous from the author s own artwork throughout to even the chapter formatting messages and pace I was inspired by the author s positive approach to dealing with challenges and feel hopeful knowing that there are many conscientious people taking a stewardship approach to our natural world and all the creatures in it that are unable to advocate for themselves This book reminded me to stay curious about the people and places in my community because there are so many interesting people to learn from and ways to contribute locally This book will be a gifting go to for my birding friends for awhile and has earned a rare permanent spot on my nightstand shelf because just seeing it makes me smile Pamela Lowell I live in the PNW and found this book quite randomly through a Connecticut Osprey Facebook group I m in I know what but I fell in love with the Long Island Sound when I visited and became fascinated with Ospreys Before My Summer with Ospreys I couldn t find any books that captured what I wanted to read but Pam nails it It s a little bit memoir a little bit nature writing a lot about Ospreys wonderfully sweet and surprisingly moving I knew I would love this book but I could not have known how much Only finished it last night and to be frank I might start it over again today I m in love with the world I found in its pages Pamela Lowell Bought it for the ospreys but thoroughly enjoyed the writing style narratives on therapy life etc Like reading an old friend Now I need to make a trip to the local osprey nesting site Pamela Lowell
