Something fulfilling I loved how well the transition was written It did take me a while to connect with her but that just shows how well this was all done even in the end I still didn t fully This is a quick read that clocks in around 290 pages and is a standalone I will say there are a bit of choppy chapters but overall it was an enjoyable read I thought it was written well and everything moved along pretty steadily I m definitely going to be looking forward to reading by the author Final review 4 out of 5 stars Anne T Thyssen Bound to be Mates Anne T Thyssen Paranormal Romance 289 pages 31 07 2024 Digital Read Challenge Paranormal Romance Second Chance Romance Bullying HeartBreak Clean Romance True Mate Soul Mates Overprotective Brothers Bound to be mates was an interesting read with a good lesson Though I didn t enjoy the way the story started.

Bound to be Mates definitely flips the script on your typical paranormal shifter romance by putting us in the paws of Scarlett an alpha female who s honestly villain than heroine Right from the start I had a hard time liking her she s snobbish mean and just plain cruel It s a total shake up from the usual tough guy bully role which was kind of refreshing but also challenging. Bound To Be matesur extranet Then there s Prince Aaron her supposed perfect match who wants absolutely nothing to do with her Can t blame him really who wants to be tied to someone who s nothing but trouble His rejection sends Scarlett on this big journey of self discovery and she actually starts to change for the better The author does a great job showing her transformation making it feel real and earned but I ve got to be honest it was tough to completely let go of my first impression of her. Bound To Be Mates epublishing By the end they both manage to snag their happily ever afters Despite my struggle to connect with Scarlett the book does a neat job of taking a risk with a not so lovable lead turning her story into something unexpectedly moving Anne T Thyssen Bound to be Mates by Anne T Thyssen is the first book I ve read by this author and I m really glad I did When I read the blurb it just sounded so good and I just had to get my eyes on it I finished the book in about a day I was just so intrigued by everything I was hooked within the first few chapters This definitely had an interesting twist on the paranormal shifter genre It was interesting because I really disliked the main character Scarlett so much in the beginning She was just a bully so it was interesting reading her go from that to something I felt it was penned nicely Scarlett was a bully and deserved to be taught a lesson and a second chance to be with her mate What I hated most about the story was the fact that Scarlett Mate Aaron though he hated bullies and didn t want to be with one he failed her by not giving her a chance He could have taught her a lesson without rejecting her like he did But that was how the plot was meant to be Morgana did something bad which turned out to be something wonderful The story was fast paced and didn t flow too well But it was a nice read Don t be too quick to judge someone and don t rush into anything that doesn t feel right Take time to get to know someone take time to build a relationship and don t be too overly harsh with others IG serlinarose serlinarosebooks Anne T Thyssen This was my first time reading Anne T Thyssen and let me just say that it won t be my last as Bound To Be Mates was utterly captivated and I couldn t put it down So much growth dimension betrayal suspense it was the ultimate emotional roller coaster ride of suspense This book was unique in the fact that right away you hated the FMC lol like she was the one you rooted against However when things didn t go her way and she found herself rejected she went on a road of self discovery that quickly had you cheering her on The character development that she had throughout the story was utter perfection And then when she suddenly has her chance to reconnect with her once fated mate Aaron you can t help but cheer Even if it s only possible due to the assistance of a dark magical bond done by an evil witch who just so happens to have a vendetta against the royal werewolf family However regardless of how their second chance occurred the love and passion and heat they feel is all theirs and I loved watching them grow and fall in love against all odds And the sacrifices they make Perfection Overall this is a captivating story of redemption growth sacrifice and finding love once again and is a devote must read Anne T Thyssen I have to admit I don t like mean girls and the start of this book really got to me because of it Scarlett doesn t start off as a likeable character in this standalone paranormal MF story but luckily she knows it and decides to change for the better I don t always believe that people can change but the author created a believable story for Scarlett where all the puzzle pieces connect It s still a pretty short story and not all the past hurts are resolved but there is still enough redemption from Scarlett to ultimately lead to a likeable character. Bound To Be matesy gmbh While I enjoyed the storyline of Bound To Be Mates the story itself missed a bit of natural flow to make it to a five star read for me Perhaps it s because of the short chapters or because of the fast development in a short book but it felt a little rushed at times and broken up where it shouldn t always have been Also for a paranormal story about shifters it missed a huge part of what it means to be shifters We never meet these characters in their wolf form and even though they are destined to become alpha and luna all politics take place behind closed doors Perhaps this story would have worked better as a trilogy where parts could be fleshed out On the other hand I know a lot of people prefer standalones so maybe it s just the series addict in me speaking here Anne T Thyssen 
So I was thrown at the beginning of the book by the bullying of the FMC However Scarlett did redeem herself I felt she changed in a short amount of time but I did love the person she became Also the book is on the shorter side so I did understand how not every little thing could be fixed I did feel the flow wasn t quite there but I did finish this book in one day I did love how Prince Aaron handled learning about Scarlett being his fated mate at first Because of a witch these two are thrown into a second chance romance I enjoyed the book and this was the first book by author that I read but I will check out other books Anne T Thyssen Captivating second chance paranormal romance I loved the rollercoaster of emotions this took me on I despised Scarlett at first she was selfish arrogant and cruel but the transformative journey she goes on after she s forced to confront herself was so well done A great plot incorporating fated mates YA romance drama identity magic and acceptance Anne T Thyssen Bound to Be Mates is a standalone paranormal romance novel that focuses on werewolves but without there being any shifting So you re getting humans with inner wolves and fated mates Scarlett is looking forward to the day that Aaron returnsand that dayhas finally come He s returned home after been traveling the world for the past six years Scarlett with lots of encouragement from her mother believes that her opportunity has finally come The only problem Scarlett is a bully and there are few who don t know about her behavior When her cruel behavior fails to go unnoticed at Aaron s party it would seem that many revelations are about to take center stage Basically she finds her fated mateonly to lose him in the same breath Bound to be Mates is a second chance romance Told from the third person this book follows Scarlett and Aaron as they become reconnected through the magic of another unknown to them This book is of Scarlett s redemption story as she gets a taste of her own medicine She goes away for a time but you get to see her transform into a better person The story focuses heavily on the reconnecting of Scarlett and Aaron with a cursory scene thrown to the witch from time to time I d have preferred of the witch and to really learn about her motivation This story really need a hard unexpected twist but it never comes Things simply play out almost perfectly smoothly for the two MCs after the initial rocky beginning You get slow burn for a while but once the steamy situations come you get quite a few steamy scenes that play out Since this book is a standalone you get a HEA that wraps this story up with a pretty bow The overall storyline is okay but it just really lacks in the drama arena 4 out of 5 stars Anne T Thyssen This was a rollercoaster of emotions I enjoyed the journey I loved how strong the MMC was strong enough to hold onto his morals and not accept just anyone as his mate because of a mate bond He earned my respect from the beginning The bully aspect added to the story brought light to how easy it is for others to be influenced in being cruel to others I absolutely despised the FMC at the beginning of this story As the story progresses and the characters develop I find myself hooked I recommend this book to those who enjoy PNR It is fast paced and holds the reader attention Good weekend read Anne T Thyssen This book was an ARC This is my honest voluntary review Scarlett is a bully and her true mate Prince Aaron sees this and hates it He immediately rejects her as he can t have a mate who treats people that way This drives Scarlett away from the pack and when she returns she s no longer the same person but Aaron broke their bond so she s ready to move on making amends but a witch has a different plan for them. Bound To Be matesmate I finished this in a day This is my first shifter romance from Anne but having read some of her other work I knew I would love whatever she put in front of me Anne as always does an amazing job with another bully to lovers It s an easy enjoyable read that I fully recommend if you re looking for something between heavier emotional books Anne T Thyssen
