Queen of light and solace pdf book

Queen of Light and Solace (Crescent Queens, #2) Thanks to the author for giving me an ARC to review This instalment was so interesting It was jam packed with so many revelations a deeper understanding of the magic system and there was a real sense of dread as the book progressed I need the third instalment to know what happens next I loved the introduction of Lia her relationship with Bella was so sweet and I enjoyed their dynamic Lia was so badass I could feel her sense of confusion about the situation but she still had a massive growth throughtout the story Eve also had so much character development in this it was great to see her be comfortable within herself and her confidence growing with Callan by her side Honorable mention to Amias I love that guy and I need of him in the 3rd book Overall this story was so enjoyable with sweet moments intertwined with heartbreak So many loveable characters and sweet moments I really recommend this series Queen of Light and Solace Crescent Queens 2 QUEEN OF LIGHT AND SOLACE is the second book in The Crescent Queens series and you really need to have read Eve s story before this one. What is quantum of solace about This is Lia s story although it is shared with Eve too Her father is dying so she takes the crown sooner than she wanted or expected Her twin brother supports her in every way and provides some light relief as the story progresses Sybella is Lia s love interest a seer who was kidnapped by Lia s father to provide him with her visions One thing I wish I d done is re read Eve s story before this one as I was a little lost about who the players were when I started reading this one I did remember eventually I can t say it impacted my enjoyment of the story negatively but it was a niggle for me personally. Queen of light and solaceful I enjoyed Eve s story and thought Lia s was just as good if not a little better Nothing seemed as rushed as in Eve s although it moved at a good pace The connection between the main characters is still fast but this time I could see it growing as they spent time together I loved the explanation of the stars and crescents too A little thing but it helped tie things up for me And Bastien What can I say about him One thing made me laugh at the end and once again it was my mind There is a point when Lia is doing something and a small hand slips into her I thought it was Sybella s daughter There were a couple of points that didn t make much sense to me but they were minor I loved this book and can t wait for the final one especially as it features a god I love A brilliant addition to the series and definitely recommended by me Queen of Light and Solace Crescent Queens 2 This was okay I liked Lia and Sybella and the bones of the story it has a great pronunciation guide map trigger warnings and is all around nicely formatted same as the first book Well written but not very well constructed lacking a lot of world building and character development The plot is very linear and somewhat in the background without the characters really stepping up to take its place All very easy and an instant with a quick magical solution for everything I wasn t really left wondering about anything or trying to work out any twists it has potential but I just couldn t get into it It needs going on and a faster pace with details so it stops feeling so plain and rushed Lacking emotion and quite flat the writing is good the characters and story would be good but it just wasn t working for me A weird comment but I love the mention of the smell of death I ve not seen that before And it s something people that have experienced it will know kudos to that detail I love it The start of this one was a little clunky and not great or good as the first I almost loved Lia Sybellas part in the story but again it just wasn t quite vibrant enough to really shine There are moments between them that I loved A fairly original idea but because it s not well executed it doesn t feel original at all Realistic reactions to traumaWell written The pov switches back and forth between Eve from the first book to Lia and her kingdom which is new A little whiplashy but interesting Eve is still mildly irritating still whining at Callan and moaning about too many secrets when will the secrets ever end which I found frustrating I don t love dual pov which honestly is a me thing as I rarely do but I just wanted to follow Lias pov alone and found Eves and irritating and a chore to read I also was not a fan of the constant time skipping which I think had a lot to do with why I found the pacing so off The names are a little too mundane for me could have cried when Sybella said. Queen of Light and Solace kindle direct call me Bella Ends in a battle again which just felt rushed with some editing and rewriting this absolutely could be a great book but it just needs some life breathed into it Queen of Light and Solace Crescent Queens 2 Diving into book two of the Crescent Queens was an absolute delight and I was glad and grateful that I didn t have to wait long after finishing the first one to continue the story thanks to the ARC I received We pick up or less where we left off in Book One Darkegrove fell to an invading army and Eve has taken refuge in Falias with the Fae while they plot and plan on how to move forward given circumstances Half of this book follows Eve s point of view as she continues to move forward now a Fae Queen in charge of a Human Realm knowing at some point she has to had the throne over to a human but wanting to see it through this coming war as she gives serious thought to that future The other half of this book s point of view follows Aurelia who has to take the throne of Avellon much sooner than she ever expected while on the precipice of war with an army the likes of which few have ever seen As a whole this book kept moving pushing you forward as both of our Queens deal with their powers navigating a new relationship for our Queen of Light and dealing with the war that is stretching across their portion of the world The dual point of view was interesting because it was nice to still check in with Eve as she s still a major player in the war though in some ways it did feel like it didn t allow Lia to fully step into her own as this is her book I loved the story weaved around Lia and Sybella and how the two started to where they ended up by the end of this book and I love their nicknames Sunshine and Moonlight for each other It s very fitting especially when Spoiler is revealed about Sybella This is an ARC sorry no spoilers for you wanna know that reveal read this when it comes out The use of magic has been a constant love of mine for book one and continues into book two It s especially great too because we get to see the hows of the magic as Lia finds her way in using her powers and we learn some deeper lore about the gods the god favored and the new enemy on the horizon that may be powerful than even the gods Part of me wants to say I d have loved to see a little of the battle at the end of the book play out but I m not sure the book needed to be longer either I m not sure if it could have been a little swapped to give Lia and battle flushed out if we d had a little less Eve POV chapters I did say it above but I think with this being Queen of Light and Solace it would have been nice to let Lia have a little of the book verses splitting it 50 50 with Eve which Eve did get a full book to herself While I appreciate getting Eve s POV to see what s going on with the Fae and that side of the allies it doesn t do Lia a much of a service so I didn t get to connect to Lia as much as I did Eve As a whole though I am definitely glad I read this book and I am even excited for the third book now. Queen of light and solaceers If you like strong Queens not letting men boss them around or take their power set in a world rich with lore that you want to create a small flow chart for because it s that deep I love when the lore is this well flushed out personally this is definitely a good series to dive into Queen of Light and Solace Crescent Queens 2 Wow What a story This story starts right after Queen of Earth and Stone Lia is a princess of Avellon her father calls her Little Light Lia s father is about to pass away and she will become queen Before her father passes away Lia discovers that her father kept a seer locked away in a tower named Bella Lia is appalled by her father s actions and gives Bella a room Bella has seen visions of Lia dying on the battlefield Lia and Bella s love story is a beautiful one The build up to their attraction to one another is intense Meanwhile Evelyn and Callen are trying to figure out who is coming after them and why I love that you get all points of view from each character I also really like the story of Cathal and Mara This book has everything fantasy adventure love and war The contrast between Eve s dark is Lia s light The story sets up the third queen and I can t wait for the next book This book captivates your attention from the first page to the last I am looking forward to seeing the conclusion of this story Queen of Light and Solace Crescent Queens 2 This is my book and I think it s pretty great Queen of Light and Solace Crescent Queens 2 3. Quantum of solace plot summary 75 5 CW death of family PTSD torture violence gore spice some othersThank you to the author for allowing me to be a part of the ARC team Queen of Light and Solace releases June 10 2024 Some exposition issues may have detracted from the plot a bit but this was still a fun read. Queen of light and solacek meaning The first of the queens has been crowned and attention now turns towards the remaining kingdoms Aurelia Vallyse crown princess of Avellon finds herself on the throne sooner than expected and with an impending war dumped on her lap Everything the kingdoms think they know is about to change and it all started in Darkegrove with Eve Darrow. Book queen of light and solace book I m going to start this review off by saying that I struggled with the rating And by struggled I mean that I m currently typing said review without having decided what my rating will actually be It s a good read but some definite issues cropped up and they re causing some internal conflict I had two main issues the first being that it felt like we were missing a lot of explanation and exposition While there s certainly a lot of confusion for the characters it didn t feel like the missing information here was designed to illustrate that problem The characters had the information the reader did not It was as if those parts simply didn t make it into the story While there s enough context clues and other information to eventually piece together what s going on I found it distracting from the story as I was constantly flipping back pages to see where we were told about thing being discussed I ll issue a disclaimer here that I ve been dealing with some real world things that significantly impacted my sleep while I was reading this particular book so it s entirely possible that either I just missed some exposition or that I was confused than normal due to exhaustion and this wouldn t have been as big an issue for me otherwise but since I m not 100% sold on that explanation just yet I felt that it needed to be addressed. Fantasy Queen of Light and solace meaning My other main issue with the story which admittedly rankled significantly less than the first was the pacing The general pacing felt like it took a lot longer to really kick off and so the first half of the book felt a little slow As things started picking up it became much easier to stay engaged and to feel like something big was coming but it took a while to get there Also the pacing on the relationship between Lia and her love interest felt incredibly rushed Almost without warning the dynamic shifted from general acknowledgement of good looks to intense and unyielding affection The rest of the dynamic was incredibly sweet and lovely but the beginning felt off kilter. Queen of light and solaced meaning Outside of those two issues the book is overall another really fun read Book 1 was fantastic so I was really excited to get into this one As previously stated it took a minute to get the ball rolling but once it did it was just as entertaining Told in 3rd person with dual focus on our two FMCs we get a really good look at what each queen is thinking and feeling and it s an especially useful way to jump back and forth between two very different scenes without feeling overly abrupt or disjointed disregarding the aforementioned exposition issue Both women feel like their own characters as opposed to just copies of the same vibes and it was interesting to see how each handled their own problems Of course we already know and love Eve from book 1 so I was pleasantly surprised to see her still remain a major focal point in book 2 I would ve liked some depth to Lia s character overall but she wasn t unlikable and she wasn t totally flat so I found Eve s carryover from book 1 to be strong enough to overcome that particular problem. Queen of Light and Solace kindle This book also felt like it handled scene setting and world building well We get to see magic fae and of the human realm and all of it adds up to a nice if subtle backdrop for our story The gods play into things even and we start to really see how wide reaching this thing is going to be for this world non spoiler hint it s big There s still a lot of potential for even chaos to ensue and I m really excited to see how things continue to unfold. Queen of light and solaceers With the disclaimer that I retain the right to reevaluate at a later time following a re read I ve decided to issue the rating that you now see At the end of the day I still enjoyed the book Its issues though impactful were not significant enough to completely take away from an otherwise really entertaining plot and I m looking forward to book 3 If you like fantasy stories about women in power love stories where the lovers fight for each other with everything they have and stories about ancient and powerful forces then this is a series you should check out Queen of Light and Solace is book 2 in the Crescent Queens series and you without a doubt need to start with book 1 to have any idea what s going on also of the two queens so far Eve is my favorite and I really think you should read her story Queen of Light and Solace Crescent Queens 2 I ARC read Queen of Light and Solace and this is my honest review. Queen of light and solace book summary I enjoyed how this book was written The points of view from both Queens worked well It allowed you to learn about the 2nd Queen her perspective and got to learn about her love interest as well The ending I wasn t expecting at all I expected there was going to be some searching that would be needing done I do hope the 3rd book fills us in on where what happened with the third Queen I also can t wait to learn about her and her gifts and how she herself ascends Queen of Light and Solace Crescent Queens 2 Oh my This was a hard one to get through During the opening of the story if the writer could have provided a refresher of the previous story of Calan and Eve s story that would help with figuring out who was who Who was Fae or Human and how the contributed to their country I didn t have a problem with the many characters but not providing information about them or a background story there I had a problem The story seemed to be focused towards the sexual aspects rather than the story The story reads like a young teenager book which isn t good The book needs major revision Queen of Light and Solace Crescent Queens 2 Princess Aurelia has come home to find a mysterious seer and her father s secrets shadowing her as she is pushed to the throne As her father s sudden illness and death crowns her the darkness that destroyed Darkegrove is after her next Is the young queen ready to ride to the challenge or will she be enthralled in shadows I rate this as 4. Queen of light and solace book 2 85 out of 5 stars The writing was better the story engaging the characters captivating I found myself getting lost and in love with this world Tricia has crafted Personally the only reason it is not a solid 5 stars is my own preference for no spice It s well written just not for me All in all I recommend it for anyone looking for their next romantic fantasy series Queen of Light and Solace Crescent Queens 2
