Softer side in this book since she hasn t quite yet been hardened or burdened by centuries of time Reading how she became acquainted with Emrick and Adrian also made me fall in love with and appreciate both of them as well. Power of the Sorceress book Power of the Sorceress is a must read It has so many amazing and moving moments quotes I ll definitely be rereading and recommending to others 194 Wow This book explains so much How she dealt with the destruction of her family and village How she worked so very hard to master her incredible powers How she was befriended by a vampire and how the love of her life came into being This book is so very powerful and emotional draining It the best so far Simply a must read 100 percent action packed a d emotional charged 194

The sorcerer and the stone
You definitely need to get started 194 Power of the Sorceress really had me in its clutches from the first page all the way to the last page It starts out with Katrina in her home village with her family when tragedy hits Her trusted teachers had turned greedy and power hungry and wanted all power for them selves Of which when being too greedy doesn t turn out so good for anybody and Kate is left the only survivor because she thought for her safety After traveling with Emrick for 3 years she still mourned her family and didn t talk much and fought terrible nightmares of what had happened and hardly ate. Book Power of the sorceress book it was like she was there but not Kate was broken inside with guilt over the fact that she was still alive but not her family Even though Emrick told her that what had happened was tragic but it wasn t her fault He brought her clothes and food as at times he had to leave her for days on end to do his duties reaping the souls of the magical dead to their final destination I loved the family that took Katrina in Jean and Edith. Book Power of the sorceress leveling by telling her to pray when going up against the Demon that Katrina was looking for These humans were in Katrina s life for only a short time but they had an in depth impact on her Miss Walsh with all her books that she writes takes you for an incredible ride that keeps you captive until the very end I love that about her books as the are filled with lots of action.

A trip to the past was never enjoyable. What power does the sorcerer's stone have While I loved the Emrick side my favorite was Kat and Adrian their friendship is so solid I loved seeing Adrian in action and see him stir the fire of justice in our sorceress. Power sources stoneblock 2 Amazing read could not put it down 194 My heart has been craving this story since Krista introduced me to Kat Emerick in Fury of the Sorceress I already loved Kat Emerick tragic relationship in previous books but Power of the Sorceress just cements my absolute love for them Kat is such a strong character what s not to like I highly recommend it 194 This tale gives new life to the old catchphrase a romance for the ages it is so ferocious a love as to be irresistible Not to mention that the greater story of the book keeps the pages turning The emotional growth of the protagonist Katerina is intense hard won and profound This story brings in elements of fantasy history adventure tale quest and tragedy turned triumphant So much depth for a novella I highly recommend this book to get to know some wonderful characters and learn their origin stories 194 Power of the Sorceress pulls at all of the heartstrings the first chapter really was emotional to me as the scene and aftermath of how Katerina became immortal played out I have loved each book and in this series and this one follows suit I have fallen in love with Katerina it was incredible to learn her origin story I absolutely loved seeing her mortal death of family attempted SA violence some othersAs always a big thank you to the author for allowing me to be a part of the ARC team Power of the Sorceress releases April 25 2024 We love a good prequel novella and this one is no exception Kat Palon is known and feared far and wide a reputation she s earned time and again but things weren t always like this Once upon a time she was Katerina of Palonia So how did Katerina the weakest member of her clan survive their slaughter How did she meet the spirit herder who would become the greatest love of her immortal life Or the vampire who would become her closest friend In short how did Katerina become Kat At long last the answers I ve been dying for We finally get Kat s backstory Or at least part of it 800 years is a lot of backstory after all I suppose it would be accurate to call this her origin story Whatever you want to call it this is the story of how Kat lost her family how she gained her immortality and how she came to know the two men who would become her closest companions in the coming centuries One of the most interesting things about this book is the radical difference between the Kat we ve come to know and love in her later years and the Katerina that we first meet here She has almost no control over a very limited portion of her power she has no confidence and her entire world has just been ripped apart right in front of her Being able to convey that difference and the growth that follows in a novella of this length is impressive and I was so excited to watch Kat s character develop into what we now know The other main difference between this book and the later installments is that this book takes place exclusively in the past as opposed to exclusively in the present This shift was a really fun read especially as a significant portion occurs in the same time and place as another urban historic fantasy series that I enjoy Naturally you know the story itself was amazing as all of the author s Immortal Sorceress series has been As I ve already mentioned getting to see Kat grow and develop was wonderful but I think my favorite part was watching her with Emrick It s a love story that s survived centuries you know the beginning was going to be just as epic All in all this was another great addition to the series Even though it chronologically occurs prior to all the other stories I think I d actually suggest reading this one after book 1 and possibly after book 2 While you d be missing the background for some of the modern day events I think you d have a greater feel for just how radical a change Kat undergoes and just how far she s really come Either way you want to read it small amount of romance with sometimes a forbidden love interest and leaves you hanging with you wanting to come So If you enjoy Excitement Traveling through the Wild Countryside And Female characters coming into their own. Kindle Power of the sorceress build then this book is definitely for you 194 Finally we get the story behind the story A blast from the past What a great but tearful ride with Katerina s past building her magic but still gets bogged down by her inferior feelings re her beloved dead family feeling she s not measuring up to their standards Meeting and becoming firm friends with Adrian while battling the raging passion between her and Emrick A must readI received an advanced review copy and leave this review voluntary Thank you 194 While I m not fond of prequels I will read just about anything this author writes This book takes us on the journey of how Katerina Kate and Emerick meet and it is really a wild ride It is fun sad and interesting how they take so long to get together and how long it takes Kate to come into her extraordinary powers Add in Adrian and this is an engaging and well written read I don t want to spoil it too much but this makes me a little sad at how things have changed and hope that it can be this way again Sure to please fans of the series or a great introduction to those who haven t read the first two Highly recommend I was provided a complimentary copy which I voluntarily reviewed 194 This entire series has been an absolute blast so far After teases of the past history between FMC and MMC Kat and Emrick I was than ready to dive into the past and learn how it all began Walsh did not disappoint and I never for an instant thought she would. Book Power of the sorceress sellen While Walsh has laid the groundwork for the delicious pining and tension between Kat and Emrick in two previous novels and a novella getting a front row seat to their story unfolding over the decades was delightful Sweeping across England in the 12th Century into Crusades riddled southern France Walsh writes with a confidence of history and time without overwhelming the reader with the stickier politics of the era and she uses this higher level space to great advantage Helping in this is how her immortal characters perceive time and the deployment of these conversations as the much older Emrick prepares his accidental companion for the future that awaits her. Book Power of the sorceress leveling It is particularly heartbreaking to know where Kat is at the start of the Immortal Sorceress series and to see how her apathy toward modernity is mirrored by the warnings of the past. Book Power of the sorceress names As with each book in the series I require nay DEMAND Adrian in all things But fans of the fancy vampire will be pleased with the role he has to play and the advice he gleefully doles out to our thick headed lovesick leads. The sorcerer and the stone ALSO Walsh has written one of the creepier villains I ve come across in a while and I had to set my e reader down and take a moment before re reading his first appearance in this novella because it was done SO WELL. The sorcerer and his magic If you like world weary main characters found family and fast paced fantasy this entire series is for you While a prequel I would recommend starting with Fire of the Sorceress so the emotional beats in Power of the Sorceress hit but you could certainly start here as a primer and not be lost in the world 194
