I think that it will no doubt really confuse and maybe even frustrate the young readers this book is directed towards Now for the illustrations I adored them The watercolors were a bit too muted but were ultimately very beautiful The drawings themselves were phenomenal The animals all looked realistic but not overly There is a lot of talent from the illustrator for drawing sketching animals I would even have the illustrator make a portrait of my Westie dog That s how good the drawings were There was just one little detail that threw me off with the coloring of the drawings I noticed that Mr Fuzzy Ears coat color changed multiple times throughout the book This made me question what breed of dog he was because he switched from being brown orange to being white.

And Teddy The Story begins with Mr Fuzzy Ears getting ready to Referee a Canoe race and he is so excited The story then takes a sad turn Where Izzy Mr Fuzzy Ears Little sister and Mom aka Mr. Book when bad things happen Fuzzy Ears and Izzy and Sofie and Teddy s Owner both get sick One of my favorite parts was where Mr Fuzzy Ears lays down on the bed and reads with Izzy in bed Reminds me of real siblings reading in bed together The Author impressed me with how they went from a happy and exciting race to sadness to happiness Some authors do not mix it so well but some parts did make me sad but it did end with happiness instead of ending with sadness This book was inspiring and I am also excited to see what happens now I will have to get the other two books as well You should read this book to your kids I know they will enjoy it as well When Bad Things Happen The Adventures of Mr Fuzzy Ears site_link post a commentJoin Mr Fuzzy Ears and his family on a journey that transcends the boundaries of life and death In this beautifully illustrated tale filled with laughter and tears.

When bad things happen kamloops When Bad Things Happen is a commendable exploration of life s cyclical nature offering invaluable guidance for parents and educators navigating conversations surrounding loss and resilience with children Roberts narrative serves as a beacon of empathy and understanding illuminating the path toward healing and acceptance When Bad Things Happen The Adventures of Mr Fuzzy Ears The ReviewThis is definitely a much emotional yet much engaging entry into the author s children s book series The warmth of the watercolor images is a great juxtaposition of the cold reality of loss and the pain that can result from it Yet the author does a remarkable job of showing the solace and warmth that can come from keeping the memory of those we lost in our hearts and cherishing the good times over the bad As a pet parent myself who in recent months lost one of my fur babies it is incredibly relatable and memorable to see how the characters react to the loss The author does a remarkable job of not only diving into the complex reactions and feelings that loss can bring but also creating conversations between children and their parents to better understand when these sudden tragedies occur The VerdictThoughtful heartfelt and engaging author Donna Carr Roberts s When Bad Things Happen is a must read children s book The book offers notes of sadness yet hopeful tones of love and enriching lessons that parents can help teach their children through it When Bad Things Happen The Adventures of Mr Fuzzy Ears When Bad Things Happen by Donna Carr Roberts is a poignant exploration of resilience and hope in the face of tragedy Through compelling storytelling and canine characters Roberts navigates the complexities of loss and redemption with grace and empathy in a way that children can understand The narrative delves deep into the human experience offering insights that resonate long after the final page A must read for anyone seeking solace and inspiration in the midst of life s challenges The 3rd book in The Adventures of Mr Fuzzy Ears series When Bad Things Happen The Adventures of Mr Fuzzy Ears This book was definitely a mixed bag I think that it is very important for younger readers to have books that cover death and grief and that teach them how to deal with these hard events However I also think that this book specifically didn t cover death in a coherent or age appropriate way This story is definitely not meant for super young readers 4 7 it s meant for kids that can mostly read on their own 8 10 Although even though this would be meant for kids that can read on their own this book wouldn t hold their attention I think that including three major events into one 41 page book is highly cumbersome While the canoe race really nicely sets up the rest of the story it doesn t add anything else and there could have easily been some other way to set up the book In other words I think that the first main event the canoe race could have been shortened a lot or even taken out Adding onto that I think that having two traumatic serious events in one book is a bit much for younger readers and it also confuses any kind of reader The mother getting sick with a minor virus didn t add anything to the story and it just made the plot messy I would narrow it down a lot to just Izzy being fatally sick and how her family copes with this In the case of this story less is The last thing I ll say about the writing itself is I thought that it was odd that the dogs parents were humans when all other characters were animals I didn t even catch on that the parents were humans until towards the end which confused me even . When bad things happen to good people pdf Now onto visuals and design Something that distracted me from the reading experience was the cursive sprinkled in the writing It was in a pretty weird font and at times it took me a few extra seconds to figure out what was written If this confuses me to being gray I think that this should definitely be consistent.
