What s it about In her second poetry collection Kassi tackles the emotions pleasures and difficulties behind motherhood In particular she focuses on how we as mothers can often lose our sense of self in the demands of nurturing others My thoughts My friend and I play a game called Taylor sings our life in which we tell each other how Taylor Swift s lyrics narrate our own lives whether directly relational or not That s what this collection of poems was to me Kassi sings my life.
