I didn t even bother cringing at the punctuation Please tell me this is still a work in progress English Good storyThis will not compare with the Outlander series I m afraid due to the terrible lack of editing It was actually difficult to follow in several p aces because of the poor attempt to use Scot expressions and language The basic story was good however English Wonderful Story So much love I m thrilled that Juliana is writing again Makes me happy So much death in battles Grace was so strong to leave her home alone Duncan was such an honest man and watching their love grow was so sweet I just loved the characters and storyline so much I can t wait to read from Juliana English So much has been said in other reviews about the fighting.
Yet Duncan had compassion for the fallen man and goes to him How hard it must have been for her father to ask his enemy to save his daughter Duncan has lost his brother in a horrible way and is now the next in line for the Laird ship after his father passes His father is very ill He had no idea who Grace was or how to find her Little did he know how his life was about to change Grace is devastated when she learns her father was killed in battle She lost her mother when she was just five and her father spoiled her He let her learn much the most ladies do Teaching her how to fight with swords and ride better than most men As if losing her father wasn t hard enough.

Holy cow this needs an editor even a proofreader Maybe just someone with a good grasp of 5th grade English The story itself wasn t bad but the mistakes just kept coming wrong words missing words missing letters There were so many revenge and battles happening in the highlands during this time Yes there are battles and the story is about the daughter of the English Commander and what happened to him What I found interesting is very little has been said about the way the highland warrior acted when he saw the enemy an English commander killed by his own right in front of him This was after a horrible battle and yet Duncan is shocked by the betrayal of his own people The highlanders are called brutes and savages she finds out she is to wed his second in command Ethan a man twice her age Learning her father has set this up without telling her is shocking She can t let his killer live She doesn t know how or where to find him but she sets out on her own She will not be forced to wed Ethan Either by fate or luck she is attacked and ends up in Duncan s camp Now the story really gets interesting as neither knows who the other really is I love how Juliana writes letting you see how both feel about the other How neither can get over the attraction when both know it is wrong As enemies learn and feelings passion and secrets come out how will they overcome it all This is a very emotional story with intrigue mystery and suspense and passion Will love be able to overcome all or will the evil one win Rush to get this book and get started you will not be able to put it down I can t remember when I loved two characters than Duncan and Grace The epilogue shows what a special guy he really is I received an ARC from the author and wish to thank her This is my honest opinion and am freely giving it English Excellent readIt has a good storyline The characters interacted well It leaves characters in need of their own story Worth the time to read English
