And I love that aspect of her wasn t pushed aside in favor of romance The side characters were great and had a lot of personality This was an enjoyable and easy read with great characters and a fascinating story I received this book through Forever Grand Central Publishing via NetGalley as an eARC reader This will not in any way affect my thoughts or opinions on the book Lucy Eden this was a fun read i don t usually like small town romances because it s too hallmark y for me but this cover really called to me i had to read it so badand i was NOT disappointed to say the least i lowkey want a farm now and a broody guy with trauma to hit me up LIKE RIGHT NOW thank u netgalley and co for this arc Lucy Eden

Love in bloom kintsugi Now to our leading charactersDan Pednekar had me from the moment he stepped on the page with his British accent and sly little smile saying hello love He could do no wrong in my book He was so attentive compassionate and oh so patient with Emma Speaking of which Ms Emmaline Walters was an absolutely walking hot mess God love her but in the beginning I wanted to smack her I don t even drink coffee but even I know how to make a simple pot with out having coffee grounds go over the entire kitchen Like girl what are you doing but I digress As I said a walking disaster in the beginning but she did have so much growth in this I like that the overall theme in this was learning to ask for help which Emma was terrible at I get it though because I am the exact same way whether I like to admit it or not I liked that theme and towards the end seeing all of these characters from the town and Emma s life come together to put everything back together at the end. In love book by amy bloom The one thing that bothered me with this is how we never really heard what happened with Emma s grandparents We know that everyone in the town is mourning them but all we hear is that they disappeared basically to never been seen again presumed to be dead But I never heard exactly what happened and honestly I kept waiting for them to show up but I guess it wasn t that type of book lol I also struggled with the pacing at the end So many storylines that had been building up and they all sort of exploded all at once and I was like how are we going to solve all of this so quickly For the most part we did but it felt sort of rushed at the same time Like there was this slow build up and the BAM PROBLEMS EVERY WHERE Overall though I really really enjoyed this story It was a breeze to read Once I hit 50% I could not put it down I was chomping at the bit trying to figure out how everything was going to work out for this cute little town I would absolutely recommend it and her surprise to find out that it s a medical marijuana business and running it well since so many people in the town rely on it She gets closer to the mmc as she s navigating family secrets career changes and her feelings for the mmc I enjoyed how unique this city girl fmc was and the farm aspect There were a lot of fun hijinks and adventures though the fmc was also trying to figure out why her parents were not close to her grandparents I thought the family aspect was interesting and would have liked a better tie up with that storyline I also liked the romance it was steamy and happened with minimal conflict Though trauma in both characters was discussed I still sometimes felt that they weren t great character development especially the mmc but I appreciate what the author did with it at the end Overall really cute sweet and heartwarming Thanks to Forever for the arc Read if you like Small town romance City girl fmc Close knit community Steamy scenes Cozy rom com Black fmc x Indian mmc Weed farm business Lucy Eden Small town romance Steamy romance Mystery Secrets and Love in Bloom by Lucy Eden follows Emma Walters a savvy PR agent who just inherited her Grandparent s farm After some unfortunate events that leave her jobless and single she runs to the farm and into the arms of the handsome farm manager Dan Pednekar But all is not as it seems as Emma uncovers the small town and farms secret. Love in bloomu myhusky 5 Overall I thoroughly enjoyed this book It was hard to put down I love the description of the farm and the town Emma and Dans relationship is sweet and progresses at a nice pace It doesn t seem to rushed or too slow I loved getting to see some of Dan s culture throughout the book though I do wish we got to see of his family His backstory is interesting and allowed me to really understand his character and ambition Emma is a relatable character with her perfectionist nature A strong FMC is always nice to see She has some major character growth throughout the book I like how Emma and Dan both had flaws they weren t perfect the whole time I wish Dan had of a solid friend group like Emma especially since he seems so personable The characters are well rounded they seem like they could be real people not just characters straight out of a book The predictable twist was made up for with the great storytelling. Love in bloomup One thing I especially loved about this book was the growth we saw Emma go through Going from a fancy PR agent in Atlanta to working on a small town farm is a big change and I m glad that transitional struggle was shown Her ambition is admirable and shows her stubborn personalliy I love how rich her family history is and how it was shown I m typically not a fan of flashbacks in stories but they were well done and added a lot of much needed depth and backstory Emma went through some really high moments and some really low moments but she made it through She is a smart character this might seem like yet another story where the heroine experiences a dramatic shift in fortune after unexpectedly inheriting something from a distant deceased relative While it s true that Emmaline does receive a family farm her journey goes beyond just a stroke of luck She also uncovers deep seated family secrets and unresolved wounds that significantly affect her as an adult. Love in bloom contemporary music The heroine in this book endures immense heartbreak She inherits a family farm that has been in her family for generations but she barely remembers her grandparents who passed it down to her She struggles with the loss of a sister whose memories are slipping away as well as a long standing emotional distance from her parents On top of that she is stuck in a lackluster relationship with a man who values her only for what she can provide him. Love in bloom trailer Given all the heartbreak she faces it s understandable that she seeks answers and solace in the farm Her family has profoundly impacted the town and this is evident in her interactions with the townspeople including Danesh Pednekar Danesh the manager of the family s multi generational farm was cherished by her grandparents as if he were their own While Danesh is also grappling with his own issues he and the heroine find comfort in each other and develop a deeply touching romance. Blooming love 3 book I really liked this book It was so easy to fall in love with Emmaline because she is a strong heroine I also fell in love with the side characters unexpected but funny surprises throughout the book as well I m looking forward to reading books by this author Thank you to NetGalley for the ARC Lucy Eden 3. Love in bloompost 5 An interesting read While I think the overall plot was adventurous and unique the story landed a bit flat for me The writing felt very one dimensional There were lots of words but not a lot of depth The characters would just take their turns trauma info dumping Some of the sequences were a little far fetched and or corny We meet Emma on what she says is the worst the day of her life then BAM she s lusting after a stranger in the bathroom She frequently says things that contradict statements that were made earlier One minute she likes the town she likes Dan and people are kindly giving her free services Then suddenly she says that the town makes her uneasy and that everyone is looking at her with contempt She says that her grandparents were practically strangers to her then she s crying over them At one point she defends her job and claims that she liked it then a few paragraphs later she says the opposite. Love in bloom bridal shower theme The book definitely gets better as you read specifically the second half of the book The first chapter of any story is usually what hooks a reader which unfortunately was not the case here I honestly struggled to get past the first few chapters I wish the beginning had been original and intriguing Instead Emma met her love interest barely had any real conversation with him and then spent the rest of the night staring at him while comparing him to her boyfriend There was nothing coy or subliminal about her thoughts or internal dialogue For lack of a better word it was corny Anger is a big emotion in this story and I wish it had been fleshed out a bit Dan s reaction to Emma s intent with the news article felt very impulsive and out of character Emma s mother s behavior at the end of the story was also very out of character for the curt sad and angry Celeste that we had become familiar with If I had to sum it up I would say that continuity is this story s biggest downfall. Love blooms book 5 5 rtc Lucy Eden Lucy Eden excels at creating romances with a beautiful mixture of humor and angst In her most recent book Love in Bloom we meet Emma Walters a hard working somewhat closed in PR agent who has recently inherited her Grandparent s farm Emma did not have much of a relationship with her grandparents and is less than thrilled to have the responsibility of their farm dropped in her lap Emma also inherits the handsome and appealing farm manager Dan Pednekar Dan had a close almost family relationship with her grandparents and is genuinely bereft at their passing After the reading of the will Emma returns to her busy life in Atlanta but is soon floundering when she loses both her job and her fianc With nowhere else to turn Emma seeks the haven of her grandparents farm and the safety of Dan s company As Emma settles on the farm and into Dan s arms will the secrets of the farm derail her newfound peace Emma displayed a great deal of growth over the course of this story and Dan was a stellar hero In addition I also deeply enjoyed the fellowship and unity of the people in the town I received this book through Forever Grand Central Publishing via NetGalley as an eARC reader.
