Like I really feel like the author kicked me out of an airplane with no parachute and I managed to grab the cliff on my way down I can t wait to see what happens next Baby s First Howl The First Shift 1 I m gonna say that even with my complex feelings about Maia I liked her overall I mean she did irritate me at times but she was far from the only one I loved what a good mother she was She got thrown into an entirely new world but her primary concern was being a champion for her daughter and that deserves some recognition You know what else comes from this new world Four smoking hot werewolf mates She s mated to quadruplets That right.

Baby's First howls getyarn 5 rounded to 2 I would like to read the next in this series as I am intrigued and usually enjoy the authors style of writing I am disappointed in this rating as when I added this book to my currently reading on Goodreads I went and checked the authors backlist and realised I had read a series by them before and really enjoyed it I hoped I would have the same reaction to this book as I did to that series When I finished this book there were also only 5 star ratings and I thought maybe I was missing something Overall I hope to be in the minority with such a low rating but I m going to hopefully adequately explain why I felt what I felt to make other readers understand CharactersI enjoyed the characters but I felt like there were too many as for every shifter character there was a human and a wolf aspect to them and each had separate names and personalities This was hard to grasp at the start but by the end of the book I had my head around it PlotI REALLY enjoyed the start of this book and I enjoyed the end of this book but I really struggled with the middle Personally.

The twists were often minor it was largely inconvenient to the plot and the pacing of the book I also felt as though sometimes characters were portrayed in a light that didn t accurately depict them and this was infuriating. Baby s First Howl 5 4 Fated Mates Widow Virgin MMCs Forced Proximity Breeding Kink Breastfeeding KinkBuckle up because this is a LONG book but holy fvcking fanny flutter was it good Thank you Letty for one of my new favorite phrases by the way This review probably has some spoilers because the book is just so involved that I can t do it justice without giving a little away Our FMC Maia gets the shock of her life when her brand new baby suddenly turns into a wolf and she s faced with a whole new world she never knew existed It turns out that her fianc Ryan was a werewolf and never mentioned it before his untimely death which was right before Maia found out she was pregnant Suddenly thrust into this new world Maia also find out that she is the fated mate to four shocking good looking virgin quadruplet brothers who just so happen to be cousins to her late fianc Together they navigate what the new normal will look like for them while also trying to get to the bottom of some pretty series family secrets By the way is anyone actually dead around here Baby s First Howl had a ton of drama and a great amount of spice I ll be honest and say I really didn t like Maia s mates at first They seemed really out of touch with the reality of having a mate because they end up being very me Tarzan you Jane and forcing her to live with them though I will say I pretty much loved Seb Kane the whole time The wolf aspect is very different in this book with how the man and the wolf are truly separate beings consciousness and even have separate names I didn t necessarily mind this but it felt like it was very overwhelming for Maia to not just get used to four new men but really eight I will say that as a mother of an infant I felt so very seen while reading this book The struggles of being postpartum breastfeeding etc was just so on point and I connected with Maia in a way I haven t connected with an FMC in a long time I will warn you that there is a h3ll of a cliffhanger at the end of this book one two three four there are four identical hot AF werewolves for Maia The trippier part is that every werewolf has a human personality and a separate wolf personality that s eight personalities Maia has to deal with and that s not including her baby Gods help her. Book baby's first howler But seriously I love the wolves personalities maybe even better than their human counterparts but the humans are great too Alex has been the steady one in this group and with all these personalities it was greatly needed It took some time for me to like Topher he was very much the jerk at the beginning of this but turned into a sweetie Ben is complex and not for everybody He s very playful but at times can be annoying but he shocked me the most by going from playful puppy to full on savage as the story continues His words were sharp AF I saved the best for last While I love all the Wolfe brothers Seb is my favorite He s a bit of a psychopath but he s my psychopath He s freaking adorable Plus all of them are great with Maia s baby which is heartwarming. Baby's First Howl epublishing As for the plot this book was dramatic AF There s family drama and then there s dumpster fire let the world burn type of family drama This story has of the latter than the former The Wolfe Grey clan is next level toxic there are some dark plots going on manipulation abuse and a slew of other stuff There was a fair amount of mystery mixed in Every time I started piecing bits of clues together Letty just throws in another bomb of a plot twist that leaves me flabbergasted These plot twists were some whoppers they took the drama level from a seven to a thirteen out of ten Yeah it was great. kinda jaw dropping By the end plenty got revealed but there s still a lot of stuff that hasn t been touched upon I can t to see how everything plays out in the final book of the duology Baby s First Howl The First Shift 1 This book is such a journey It takes Maia and the readers from the normal human world into the world of shifters quickly having to learn the rules of her and her daughter s new life their customs and grt to know the men that are claiming she is their mate The world is quickly expanding and as typical of the author there are so many twists and turns and surprises you are quickly hooked to see where this is going to go But my favorite part was seeing the relationships build see how much each of the guys grew as people and partners to meet her both in her grief and as her new partners And baby Phoebe is just the cutest of course Can t wait for book two and to see where their story will go Baby s First Howl The First Shift 1 This was so good I could not put it down First Howl The First Shift 1 Dnf for me They were ridiculous in not giving her any choice e about moving in with them even though half of them hated her I didn t like the men anyway so I just stopped reading Baby s First Howl The First Shift 1 Holy freakin twins triplets and quadruplets Batman This reads like a tv soap opera in the best way because the drama is top tier and there s always a random twin triplet popping out of nowhere I really enjoyed reading this I loved that every time I thought something was going to happen or go a certain way there was a twist to counteract my thoughts There are a lot of characters in this book but they re quite distinguishable thankfully It took some time for Topher and Ben to grow on me Topher being the asshole and Ben who has a childlike mind at times though he s incredibly smart I m not sure if he s supposed to be on the spectrum I got those vibes later in the book so he didn t come across childlike to me any just someone who is showing certain traits but I could 100% be wrong and his character is supposed to be childlike since he s the runt I liked Alex and Seb a lot Seb and his wolf Kane being my favorites Maia is complicated for me Where I understand all her hesitations the quick to think the worst and being a scared human in the werewolf world She spent an awful lot of time being a hypocrite sneering and crying when things didn t go the way she wanted She broke the guys trust just as much as they her yet it was glanced over and they forgave so quickly to where she held onto their misdeeds and used it against them every chance she got She was incredibly wishy washy and it made it hard to really like her fully She has her strengths and is a fantastic mother for trying to navigate this world don t get me wrong but I spent a good portion of this book annoyed and rolling my eyes at her dramatics. Baby's First howly hawaii Only a fool would think one of the very things that make these werewolves who they are are not important As if poison can t be weaponised because clever clogs here thinks humans are not capable of such things Just because she is one DNF at about 70% Baby s First Howl The First Shift 1 What the ever lovingThis is a mess I m not sure what s happening here She s had a baby 5 days ago The baby turns into a wolf pup unexpectedly She calls the cops thinking someone stole her baby and left a puppy Then she s hauled off to meet the alpha and luna of the pack but the 2 cops that show up Their 4 sons claim her as a mate immediately She s seeing her dead fiance or thinks she is because no one has explained multiple wolf births to her At least that s what I m assuming because I only made it 20% before throwing in the towel and she s lying saying no one is there when the guys smell another wolf Then 1 guy is a complete jerk while his wolf is a maniacally obsessed stalker Brother 2 is just a cardboard cutout wolf unknown Brother 3 is sweetheart and so is wolf but doesn t stand up to jerk or cardboard brothers Brother 4 is different I can t tell if he s stuck in a Little mindset or he s suffered some kind of childhood trauma that keeps him trapped in that mindset Either way not a good headspace to be a mate and father to her and her kid In fact it s than a little off putting him acting like an overgrown 5yo but horny And then the revelation of who her dead fiance was was the straw that broke this reader Nope No wait it was the mention of wolves making a motion to push 16yo female wolves into having pups force mating them to gag virile members of the pack to force them to breed Reducing them to the function of a single bodily system vs respecting their autonomy as a whole person That was the final straw Done Looked back at the author and realized that this was the same as the horrible Luna series I barely made it through the 1st book of By the end of the book within the span of maybe a week she d met and collected like 7 maybe 8 mates Basically every guy wanted her perfect Mary Sue person It wasugh Baby s First Howl The First Shift 1
