There was a potential but I didn t realize it was a harem story which isn t really my jam except an odd reverse harem book The first non consensual boob grab put me off big time The narrator was good and the writing also not awful The magic and progression system had potential Just didn t enjoy the tone and the harem bit Christopher Hall Dungeons Just Wanna Have Fun starts out with a bang Anton is being chased by raiders brutally wounded his only hope of loosing them is in the local dungeon But when he gets there the dungeon turns on them and as he lays on the ground breathing his last breath a pale woman in strange clothes offers him a life saving healing potion if only he ll make a deal to show her around the outside world Kelsey as she prefers to be called IS the dungeon. Dungeons Just Wanna Have funyo chat The world in this book has many of the LitRPG elements Dungeons provide experience which levels up skills and special abilities The monsters in the dungeon drop loot when defeated and then respawn later Only so far as being Isekai the main character is Anton who existed already in this world he isn t a visitor from a real world We also take the point of view of Aris Anton s betrothed And Soliel the daughter of the local Baron All of these perspectives help bring the characters and the danger their face to life. Dungeons Just Wanna Have funmedidaho The action is described well but doesn t overwhelm the plot I never really knew what was going to happen next because Kelsey the dungeon is the one who drives most of the plot and I didn t really know what he end goal was for the longest time She s a carefree character and there s a lot of humor in this I recommend it Christopher Hall This one is strange All female characters except the dungeon are partially cardboard when anchored to harem But the main plot is actually well written characters are not simplistic and storytelling is better than in many other LitRPG books I ve recently read Christopher Hall Not badI really enjoyed reading this I was unappreciative of the magic system I will say this is the most unique way I ve seen a harem compiled Extra points for creativity Christopher Hall Kelsey is a delight She reminds me of Kumoko from So I m a Spider So What a bit Christopher Hall
